I just finished reading Neuromancer the other day. I'm working on Count Zero and then I'll be reading Mona Lisa Overdrive.
As far as recommendations go, read the Neuromancer trilogy and also the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Both are exceptionally fun reads if you're into Sci-Fi and Fantasy, respectively.
I've really gotta re-read Neuromancer and the other related books. I first read them back in like... junior high or early high school when I was first getting into Cyberpunk, so I feel like I probably missed alot. Especially since my friend just read it and complained that she didn't understand it at all, when I thought I had understood it perfectly.
comes out today. I will be going out and getting it on my lunch hour.
This man is a genius. Only author besides Douglas Adams to make me laugh out load while reading.
Hes got several books with the same main character, a psychopath with a sunny disposition who refuses to take his meds. The books have every thing murder, mayhem, drugs and deviant sex. I highly recomend him.
start with this one
you can go to his sight and read excepts from the books

i'm really confused....i thought i'd start from the beginning to see if i liked his stuff but the site says as follows:
The series is meant to be read in publication order
and then gives both the publication order and the linear story order....but, since it was meant to be read in publication order should i read it that way or would it be better to just read in linear?!?!! i'm so confuuuuuuuuused
Sherlock Holmes: a profoundly gifted detective, coldly rational and possessed of the readiest of wits...written by a man so credulous and gullible that he made Butters look like Socrates.

Shit
Guess I'll get Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive then, and I'll look into Bartimaeus afterward
Thanks dudes
(edit) FUCK according to lvccld.org Count Zero doesn't exist in my library district
No problem. Also, Molly is my favorite character.
This is not a good thing.
Why not?
Because it is shit.

Yeah Tyrion is quite clearly the bitchin'est character in the series.
And Tyrion is Rock on Wheels. That guy is the fucking best.

also world war z sucks
Well yeah, I know he is, but the rest of the Lannisters are such scum it's hard to root for their side.
Silly DH. All assumin' Tyrion has a side.
i need to make animated gifs of some of the scenes, like the ridiculous fake convulsions
Man, I know he's only looking out for himself, but currently he's allied with the Lannisters, even though he can't stand most of'em.
he was onboard the film adaptation, and the budget sucked so bad that everything else sucked as a result
it has dolph lundgren in buddy holly glasses and ice cube in dreadlocks as a revolution leader
I slapped everyone in the room.
Still, there are some elements of quality about it, and I am actually interested to see how the movie turns out.

Henry Rollins as the doctor who always looks as if he's about to completely fucking lose it.
Goddammit Holmes. You are a madman.

i'll read it in the first five minutes and then have to play with duckies to pass the time
But I think you'll find it interesting, because it very clearly represents the early movements toward what would become his signature style.
(Also, does your copy have quotation marks?)
