PAX-midwest, just a pipe-dream?

So, It's ridiculously hard for me to get to the coast, as I imagine it is for plenty others, but that shouldn't mean we can't all rock out.

I would be quite willing to help orchestrate a respectable sized midwest PAX, around either the Chicago or St. Louis area. I know St. Louis much better, but I'm about an hour W of Chicago, either place works moderately well.

I'm imagining lots of Smash, DS, DDR, Lan, tabletop/CCG's/Etc, stuff.

So, who would want to help, or just be there?

I know alot of people online that have went to ceder point for an internet meetup, and it was said to be pretty awesome. I think that would be pretty cool.

I'm not sure when it would be.. it'll take a couple months of non-hardcore planning to get it together, if it's of any size. I visualize it being quite large.

In fact, he said that expansion plans are afoot. Not only will the Bellevue convention change locations next year, Penny Arcade plans an East Coast version of PAX in 2008, specific location as yet undecided. "Actually," Khoo comments, "most of our readers are on the East Coast."

Yes. The City Museum is a glorious, glorious thing. It's the sort of place where they will put a bus on the roof just because they can. See it if you get the chance. When it's open at night it's only five dollars to get in. For that you can run around the main building plus the crazy overgrown jungle gym outside. For five bucks more, you can run around the man made cave system. Plus, there is a bar and a tribute to corndogs throughout history. And a Ms. Pac Man machine. Such a lovely place...
