Color Me Stupid - Euro Wii Compatability

So... I might be moving to Europe end of this year, and I wanted to know about PAL compatability and whatnot.

My American Wii, can it plug into your PAL tv? Will it display appropriately? How about for purposes of downloading games via VC? Also, my HDTV overhere does absolute jackshit over there correct? DS's and PSP's support both 110 (america) and 220 (euro) power correct, it ain't gonna blow up my shit to plug those in (with the appropriate outlet converters of course) is it?

    Most NTSC consoles can be hooked up to a modern PAL tv. You might need to get some weirdo cables to fix colouring issues, but whatever. Displays appropiately if you run in 60hz. I think you'll still get access to the US VC, but I'm not sure. You're not getting on the EU VC though. Your HDTV will work fine once you hook it up, HD resolutions transcend the PAL/NTSC bullshit. DS and PSP can both be hooked up with the appropiate converters (as can most other electronics).
