I get horrible depression, and the doctor I most recently saw has decided that this may be a symptom rather than a problem in itself. His theory is that the depression is as a result of anxiety issues, which is why medicating me last time didn't work.
The marvelous thing about depression and anxiety is that they usually feed one another so it's impossible to figure out which is causing the other.
I have a similar siutation, except replace "depression" with "headaches." Anxiety causes headaches which furthers anxiety which furthers headaches etc etc.
Mine manifests as insomnia.
Which is why I went to sleep last night at 4am, got up at 10, and I'm sitting up at 3am chatting to internet friends.
I'm pretty sure Goldwave can do that (it's been a long time since I've messed around with that, though). If you set it up, foobar2000 can convert almost anything to anything.
If you don't mind converting to .wav first, FLAC frontend will decode the files quickly and then most any program after that can convert to mp3.
