While Mary was fighting Eclipso, she unleashed all her power into Jean, forcing both women to lose their power completely. They both fell from the sky into the ocean. Mary washed up on Themyscira and Jean looks like she may end up as shark food.

I'm glad Justice League is finally saying, "where has flash been" since he re-joined the team back in June and hasn't shown up in any issues since. Although the pencils on that cover are terrible.
I think Blue Beetle's actually a neat idea, although I'm glad it's only one issue that they're doing it. My Spanish is awful at best.
I'm excited for Titans even though I expect at least one of them to be killed/hospitalized in the first issue.
Batman's got quite a beak on that Death Mask cover. I think I'll skip it and pick up the trade if it's any good.
"Kurt Busiek, gearing up for his insanely huge next project".
"While Bagley won’t reveal what his next project will be, he did reveal that “my old buddy Kurt Busiek and I are together again for what looks like a really great project."
I'm excited for this and I don't even know what it is!

Yeah, I think it's a fun idea, and they ~are~ providing the English translation to be fair. I wonder if the scarab alphabet will switch from English to Spanish too? Because remembering the letters is difficult enough as it is!
Titans will almost certainly be awful between Winick's ham-handed writing and Churchill's ugly art.
Spoiler warning for the first arc: Some cast members fuck and one dies. Also, Starfire's bi.
Nice to see Mike Norton on Blue Beetle, knowing he's a Ted Kord fan. I dislike the idea of an all-Spanish issue though, if only because DC always said they didn't want to club readers over the head with the fact that Jaime's hispanic. Though it could be a cute idea, and more Traci 13 is always a good thing. Though I'm not reading it anyways, so what do I care?
Van Sciver's JLA cover is really underwhelming. Also, I'm very surprised they revealed the JSA antagonist so early. Not that it wasn't expected, but doing it this early seems weird. Manga Batman might be interesting. The Batman: Child of Dreams book was kind of cool to look at after all.

Yeah. My brother pointed it out to me recently. It's actually translatable. In fact I had lots of fun going back over old issues and reading what the scarab said. It doesn't work for the very early issues, but from the one where Baby Alina is kidnapped by Bottom Feeder you can read what the scarab says.
Although funnily enough the first panel is gibberish, but in the second it says "Look! It's the Phantom Stranger!" in huge letters and it pretty much continues from then.
*edit* They actually use the same alphabet for the most recent issue of Booster Gold too, which is fun.
Winnick's writing is above average, I just have a problem with what he does. For example, GA/BC is not a poorly written book, it's just the ideas are frustrating. Brain dead Connor Hawke, for example.
I think the Spanish-language Blue Beetle issue is a good idea. It's not beating us over the head with his ethnicity, for me, because that just seems realistic to have mostly Spanish in an issue that takes place during a family reunion. The thing is, this should be something that they should promote to widen the audience of not just BB, but comics in general.

It's like he's taking a tremendous shit.
little known silver age power - super bowels
Well it's been dynamite so far, I see no reason for that to change with the finale.
And damnit I hate to be a broken record but a Steve Gerber Dr Fate ongoing needs to happen.

Yes. He has the ability to change the direction of the Omega Effect at will. It's probably just one long ass beam.

and what happaned to Jean
The new (old) host is Bruce Gordon.

or why they keep bringing it up
what I get from it is: the heroes share the same names and that's where the similarities end

like, i've read some comics with the characters (although not the actual tangent comics)
and i've read the wikipedia
and i have no clue
Literally a LOL moment. Good stuff..."super bowels"
Totally. The Eclipso half is generally pretty uninteresting but the Dr Fate half is magnificent.

The rest will be revealed tomorrow at 5pm.
I'm more or less indifferent on Titans...as it's hard to tell with Winick these days.
Blue Beetle is well...odd.
a "Batman Manga tale"? Pass.
Finally a Justice League issue that will look good in the art department.
And Justice Society...well..it's Justice Society. No words are needed.

The thing is, Trials of Shazam and GA / BC have been enjoyable..so Winick is still a toss up in my book. Not looking forward to Churchill though.

I guess I actually needed to go to class to learn the language
It's New Gods post final crisis
if they go back to 52's style (which includes being $2.50 instead of $3), then I'm all for it
oh, it also has to be good
It's already been said that it's going to be a stand alone story.
