it will be interesting to see what happens at dc
something is very wrong with the company and it is becoming more apparent each week
i mean which editor let the countdown guys do whatever the hell they wanted and completely ignored grant morrison's final crisis outlines? you get grant morrison to write you main event, and do nothing to make sure the thing counting down to his event actually counts down to his event? are you really squandering an all-star creator like grant morrison? (personal opinion of his work aside, it is grant fricking morrison)
how can wildstorm and cmx be such disasters? what the hell happened to vertigo? look at the things other little publishers are doing, like avatar or image or whatever-- non superhero books can sell?! why isn't DC capitalizing on some of that action?
what the hell is going on?
Given Byrne's opinions of Larsen and Waid, I highly doubt he'll be working for either of them. Hell, he makes a six figure income just from drawing commissions of Marvel and DC characters.

Q: What’s coming up in The Flash?
Ethan VanSciver: “No comment” on what’s coming up, but the artist added, “I love the Flash, Absolutely love the Flash.”
DD - How much?
EVS - Enough to spend some time with the Flash.
This would be cool if the art was the problem with Flash, but it's not.
edit: oh apparently it'll be something with Barry
go silver age!!!!

oh, so it was an in-joke that i didn't get?
i'm totally cool with that
just not cool with Byrne going anywhere near Farscape

Also, Byrne is too busy producing obscure continuity-porn STAR TREK:TOS books for IDW. That's probably the root of the joke, now that I think about it.

Anyhow, you can usually get them after the convention, either from Ebay or directly from http://www.heroesonline.com/index.htm. They've done overruns in the past, I'm sure they'll do them again this year.

360 (an Xbox 360 magazine from UK) has an article along with new pics and info of the upcoming: Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.
The magazine introduces 2 new characters: Sonya Blade (from Mortal Kombat) and The Flash (from DC). Flash looking like like the classic Flash we all know (no details on who is behind the mask), Sonya looking to be a mix between her MK4/Deadly Alliance looks (beret, long hair/ponytail, white/short shirt, black pants/gloves).
The new pics in the magazine also reveal some details:
-Small traces of blood (for the ones still worried about "no blood")
-Breakable aspects in the characters costumes (Scorpion's mask being broke by a punch in the face by Superman, revealing the skull under it)
-Superman using his eyes-lasers.
-Flash doing a "spin dash" (ala Kabal)
-Scorpion using Teleport Punch
Among other things...
Scans are not allowed, neither links..so no pics here..hehehe..
Also, the unofficial list of confirmed characters seems o be:
DC Universe
Batman
Superman
Robin (Tim Drake)
Wonder Woman
Flash
Green Lantern
Black Canary
Hawkman
Powergirl
There seems to be at least 20 characters in all, and the contracts seems to be for 2 games..so who knows..
There also plans for downloadable content as in more characters and stages..
There seems to be a collector's edition in the works (as Midway was polling a few weeks ago about what would you like to see on it: a comic, artbook, etc) and there also seems to be a comic in the works; acordding to The Realm of Mortal Kombat website (which were one of the firsts to break the whole MK vs DC rumor, along with the GAF poster):
Originally Posted by TRMK.org:

The way the 2 universes meet is finalized, but will only be revealed in Issue 1 of the comic. And plays out to a much better story anyway.
The tie-in story is pretty much completed. There are still a few tweaks to be made, since a few game endings for different characters are a major story point in the comics. And each character's endings are being written by the DC team, with a ton of input from Midway.
Said the comic will have a huge TWIST that no fan, DC or MK, saw coming.
I only point that out since I've always liked Tim as Robin better than Dick. Dick's cool as nightwing and seldom do you see Tim get the limelight out of the actual comics... *ehem* so there you go.
It was the second issue of SI, though, meaning more people bought the first book in the series and thought it was worth following into the next issue than the amount of people who thought Final Crisis was worth looking at at all.
Q: What’s coming after Geoff Johns and Jeff Katz leave Booster Gold? Will there be a new creative team named?
DD: After Johns and Katz, there will be a two-issue arc by Chuck Dixon, but DC is holding off on announcing the title’s new team so as not to take anything away from the upcoming issue #1,000,000, in which a “major character” returns for good.
Here's hoping. At this point I can only imagine it would be Blue Beetle or Michelle Carter, Booster's sister. Unless someone decides Booster Gold should reintroduce like, Bart Allen or Conner Kent or something weird like that.
I'd kind of love to see Booster Gold permanently retitled Blue [Beetle] and [Booster] Gold.
And Tyler the Hourman android is still in pieces on the workbench of Rex Tyler.

Heroes Con always has the nicest incentive prints. They had a James Jean Fantastic Four print a few years back, too.

In the words of the great Henry Jones Sr, this is intolerable.

Grant Morrison did.
But yeah, from the start it seemed like Secret Invasion was the more accessible of the two.

it was a huge surprise for the 2nd issue of Marvel's big event to outsell the first issue of DC's big event
Does Power Girl have that limitation?
Also...how the fuck will they explain Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern being power down?
A wizard named Shang Tsung did it.
