HD antenna and TV

I have this TV and I can't figure out how to get to HD channels. I have an HD antenna hooked up and I only get normal channels. My room mate has an HD antenna but a different TV. I should be able to get HD channels by just adding .1 to the end of the channel but I have no option of doing that so how the fuck do I get HD channels?

Are you sure that tv has an ATSC tuner (this decodes the broadcasted hdtv signal)? The samsung website does not market a tuner on this set which makes me think it doesn't have a tuner. This one is marketed has having a tuner.

If you lack an ATSC tuner, you will need to give your tv an hd feed (hd cable/satellite, hi-def dvd player, pc output) to view hd content.

Also, there is no such thing as an HDTV antenna. Any old antenna will do fine.
