hunter/druid is a nightmare for warrior/druid. I'm talking 10 minute fights. 2v2 bracket is so not fun right now past 1850.
Just 10?
My druid still needs some gear, so right now the fights are more or less luck based (Does my druid get unlucky crit to death Y/N?), but both teams make it so obnoxious for the other
the hunter and myself killed each other this weekend in one game...
so we both got to witness a 22 minute Holy Paladin/Restro druid fight
talk about a short bus rumble at one point the paladin spent 5 minutes try to res me so we could end the damn match.... to no success
Okay, I'm trying to wrap my lonely brain cell around macros so I can start coming up with my own instead of having to beg people for them. Let me throw this out and make sure I'm understanding it. I apologize in advance for any amusing syntax errors...
============================
/use [mod:shift] Palomino Bridle; Ebon Gryphon
As I understand it, hitting this macro will use my flying mount but hitting shift and this macro will use my land mount
============================
First, the macro equips my Riding Crop. If I'm in an area that allows flying, this macro then uses my flying mount. Otherwise, it uses my land mount.
Is there a way to control which trinket slot it goes into? I generally prefer it in the first slot (13, if I understand right)?
============================
/use [combat] Mana Emerald; Conjured Manna Biscuit
If I'm in combat it uses the Mana Emerald, if I'm out of combat it eats food
Each time I hit this macro it moves one step up the chain. I can do other things between presses (like, say, move backward after the frost nova).
This one interests my priest more than my mage, since the priest has a more set-in-stone cast rotation. Is there a way to put wand usage on cast sequence?
============================
/cast [exists] Counterspell; Ice Block
If I have a target it casts Counterspell, otherwise it casts Ice Block
I'll just use my mage as an example: My typical rotation, as max range, scorch until within fireblast range then fireblast. If target =/= dead, frost nova, run back a bit and repeat. If target is still not dead, repeat from the frost nova step.
Be sure to use rank 1 frost nova ALWAYS. You stupids who buy higher than rank 1 don't deserve mana.

Scorch builds FTW!
Also for PvP, rank 1 Polymorph.
As a Warlock, I had a few times I've actually used Curse of Recklessness when doing low-level instances, there's no reason to use any rank above 1.
Same with Soul Drain, rank 1 is all you ever need.
So, I just hit 58 and immediately went to the Outland. In the process of levelling from 58-59 I have upgraded about 5 slots, and have had an awesome time. This is my first experience in BC content, and I gotta say, Bliz definitely made the content gratifying.
I realize this stuff isn't new or anything. I've always had fun playing this game, but it's been awhile since it's been this fun.

Actually, Curse of Recklessness is a valuable armor reduction debuff that stacks with sunder armor. Just max rank it and give your melee some extra DPS. As a warlock, mana efficiency should be the least of your worries. Heck, I even max rank Drain Soul, it's not unusual for it to get a tick in when I farm shards and that extra damage will usually be enough to get the killing blow. The only spell I downrank anymore is Banish, for when I want a mob to only be banished for 20 seconds instead of 30.

Hellfire has become my favourite zone by a mile, all the upgrades plus the atmosphere, layout and quests (zeth'gor as melee aside) are pretty much perfecto.
My old fave zone was Desolace though, so maybe I'm just a mong.
Hey guys. I'm stuck on a crappy progression server. Looking for a PST Late Evening Guild. I'm avilable Thursday - Sunday, 100 days played Feral Druid/Prot Warrior. Could bring a 1000 DPS Hunter and a few mages as well.

I just noticed Wowhead's Talent Calculator can be set for level 80.
Someone once told me that a change was implemented to include spell ranks in resistance calculations, so that lower-ranked spells would have a higher chance to be resisted. Was that untrue? Like Charus, the only spell I bothered downranking on my 'lock was Banish anyway, and I never seemed to have any trouble landing rank one in Kara.
On the subject of warlocks who are smart enough to use curses other than Agony - Curse of Tongues is gold people, gold. I hug every warlock who casts it on healers for us in instances. (On damage casters it's possibly debatable, as I guess it would be costing your tank threat fuel, but on healers, do it.)
Blizzard is going to have to make the 46/51 point talents (specifically Combat's 51 point talent) REALLY good to keep me away from some combat/seal fate sexiness.
Even with a mere 30-40% crit (fluctuating buffs; lotp, mongoose, ashtonge trinket, etc), combo point generation would just be dumb. Like, it'd get out of hand.

I think they'll be doing something to make 31/31 impossible/unviable. Or simply changing the position of current talents all together. It would be dumb to make some theoretically possible builds available (that is, for the classes that actually have worthwhile 31 point talents *cough cough priests*).

Remember how hax we thought it would be to have some of the 21 point talents with 31 point talents? I'm pretty sure whatever 51 point talents they have will make a 31/31 build vs a 41/20 a tough decision to make.

I can't even begin to imagine the amount of CP's you would have to play with in that build. Eeesh

It's very easy for me to imagine them making better PvE talents further along in combat, though. You're not 30/31 for a reason :P
Funny thing is though, knowing the rogue's history with initial 31-41-and now 51 point talents, something like Wavechaser's build might actually be used.
Ok, so I've been bitten by the WoW bug thanks to a friend of mine and I'm currently in my 10 day trial which will soon expire. I just want to rant a bit because of my gameplay last night:
[rant]
I just dinged lvl 10 last night and I got a few quests out in the crossroads of Troll country to kill some animals. I don't remember their WoW names, but they were raptors, zebras, and ostriches. I needed 8 ostrich beaks, 4 zebra hooves, and 12 raptor skulls. Now, normally I would imagine that since every ostrich has a beak physically, and since the game knows I'm after them, that you know, I could get a beak per ostrich. No. Not too bad though, I only killed maybe 15 of them to find 8 beaks. Not bad. Then I get the raptor quest and despite there only being about 5 raptors within a few minutes each direction from the town I got the quest from, and other players farming the same animals, every raptor I killed had a skull. I'm currently sitting at 6/12 skulls. Not bad. Since every raptor has a head, I would imagine each to have a skull inside. Yay. Then I see the zebras which I had picked up the quest for at the same time as the raptor quest. Now, zebras are 4 legged creatures, and there are hooves at the end of each of those legs. If I only need 4 hooves, one would imagine, normally, that I can kill 1 zebra, cut the hoof off each leg, and ding, I'm done. No. Apparently most zebras don't even HAVE hooves. I killed maybe 15+ zebras last night, which is not too easy because they are lvl 13/14 (more 14s than 13s) and get me pretty low on health during the fight. Know how many hooves I found? 2. Two! What the heck!? I can see killing humanoid creatures for pendants or whatever and not getting one each time. But if I'm killing animals for a body part that they have at least 1 of, and sometimes multiple of, and not even put any in the loot, that's just plain stupid. I understand farming is a big part of MMOs and I'm fine with that, but after so many zebras to only get 2 hooves is just plain disappointing. I hope that as I get higher levels and find some good guilds and friends to play with that this isn't a theme going throughout the game, but for as much praise as WoW gets, I can't believe it is this stupid at times. Ugh..
[/rant]
I apologize for the above, but after over and hour of farming I was a bit ticked off last night. Hopefully tonight or whenever I get back on will go a bit better.
Unfortunately that is how it goes in wow. I've leveled several characters. All of them have had different luck when it comes to drop rates with those types of quests. Those type of quests never go away though, you can avoid them if you want, but they are put in to basically make you grind.

Yeah, I figured. It's just funny when I go to find canvas scraps from centaurs to make a bag and of 9 centaurs, 8 had scraps on them, to getting 4 hooves from a 4 hoofed creature and only getting 2 from 15+ of them. Just seems like something is wrong with the drop rate on some of these. That or I have REALLY bad luck.

low quest droprates annoy me more than anything else in the game, I think
They are quite annoying. And the thing is, I get why they're in the game. The devs need some way to disguise grinding, so they wrap it in a thin veil of 'low drop rate quest item'. You know what? I'd prefer grinding. Just tell me "Hey, kill 75 zevras for me". At least then I know I'm making progress; I can see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Hell, it's not like they don't do that already anyway (I'm looking at you, Nesingwary).
Yeah, I probably enjoy the Nesingwary-style quests more than the low drop-rate ones. It's probably because I get very frustrated having to do something for longer than I expected. I know how long killing 30 Clefthoofs is going to take, and I can internally update this estimate as I kill more and more. When the very last item won't drop in a different quest however, it's very frustrating.
This theory is somewhat ruined by the kill quests where the mobs themselves are hard to find.

Aye. For some reason the harpy quest in Stonetalon gives me trouble every time I'm in there. There are a billion harpies, and like five or six different flavors of them, but the one I need seems to be the one that spawns the least out of the bunch. Random spawn rates and placeholder spawns for the lose.
