Locks are gonna need a kickass 51 point talent to keep me from abusing felguard + siphon life.

I forsee my mage getting something amazing that will slowly be nerfed patch after patch until it is barely usable.

And I think my hunter will get something very boring. Like a button that will refresh readiness, or a 51 point talent to add an additional stable slot. They need something interesting. Maybe fuse together with whatever pet you have for fun and profit.

    YAY!

Now I can have Circle of Healing AND Imp Divine Spirit.

So the casters can have their about-as-good-as-blackened-basilisk buff.... And I can go through 2 more stacks of candles a raid, whee!

I'm still not taking Lightwell... not until they put an anti-spam-click-douchebaggery debuff on anyone that touches it.

So, I'm gonna get Runic spellthread for my pants. My friend who is a tailor is going to do it for me (I've got the primals, he's got the nether), and is going to try to give me some bullcrap about "free to friends" or something. So what's market value for using someone's nether? I imagine it varies quite a bit by server, depending on availability of heroic and kara runs, but any ballpark would be nice.

I forsee holy paladins being far and beyond the #1 healer for a good 3-4 months after WOTLK, then having their core component nerfed (but none of the gear changed), while all other healing classes get continually buffed, so by the time we hit the 1 year mark, they are far and beyond the worst healer again.

On my server (a high population realm) and faction (realm is like 70% alliance), Nethers seem to go for about 100 gold, give or take a bit. I had a guild member refuse to take one for free, so he gave me 75 gold (a discount, but still some nice cash).

Assuming things are even remotely equal, 50 gold or so would be a steal while not being utterly free.

If nothing else, just ask in /trade what the going rate is on Nethers. Surely someone will know, assuming that they can take a moment away from their busy work of coming up with new Chuck Norris "jokes".

And I use the term "jokes" as loosely as possible.

With all the talk of level 80 builds, and some previous mention of Felguard warlocks, I have to say that I don't know how people do Felguards in PvE. Sure it would be tons more awesome with Siphon Life in play, but under current builds I don't understand how 41 Demonology locks do it. I mean... you have no DoTs! No passive spell to cast to build up your own health while you're recharging your pet's, instead having to alternate between draining health and siphoning it back to your Felguard.

I found grinding with this build as a level 70 to be completely tedious and slow. Even my current build (SL/SL) grinds way better due to a combination of added DoTs and the mana replenishing talent which makes my VW an endless tank. And yes, I do use a VW, who can tank elites in Netherstorm while I DoT them up and stand there healing him. :D

Editted to add: Chuck Norris does not sleep, he waits.

The thing about Demolocks is that you don't dress them up like you would an Affiction or Destro. You and your pet have a symbiotic relationship, the stronger you are, the stronger your pet becomes and the stronger your pet is, the stronger you become. Heavy amounts of STA and INT give the Felguard a good amount of health and attack power and he can stand on his own verses two equal leveled mobs for quite awhile. And I get a nice chunk of Spell Damage so only having three DoTs doesn't slow me down much. I farm just fine with the 'guard like I was doing last night in Legion Hold against all the Doomguards and Warlocks.

100g for nethers seems to be the general rate on most servers.

Good ole Florde does 850 dps over 4m solo with no buffs or healing to dr. Boom with no felguard damage, draining life to make up for lifetap.

With Florde's build -- hey, I was sick of shadow bolt interrupts at malacrass -- I get the same % crit that a 0/21/40 build would get, a better or similar immolate, a better corruption, and pretty much similar effects except for ruin.

Oh yeah, and a pet that does more damage than a BM hunter pet over a long fight.

ed: How are you going to beat felguard and ruin in pve ):

With the 71 talent points, they could just move some of the current 41 pointers to the 51 point spot to avoid the ololoverpowered-ness.

Didnt they do that with BC?

New talentS. There's 42-50 as well. For almost every old 31 pt talent there were 2 new talents adjacent to it as well as a talent for 35-40.

idk what you're talking about, I can't wait for Circle of Lightwell.

Edit: I guess the 51 point Disc talent will be Blessed Focus of Focusing, and we will have no idea if we're supposed to work it into a Holy Damage or PvP Healing spec, or both.... But that doesn't matter, because the devs don't know either.

I wonder if you could make a mod that replaced the names of talents in both the talent tree and your action bars.

"Well, I put 3/3 in 'Fuck Yo Shit Up', and figured that the last point in 'Wrecked Shit, Good & Proper' was worth it, if just for 'Improved QQ Moar'."

Don't worry I'm sure they'll clarify which tree is for which purpose roughly a year after the expansion is released. But that won't stop them from making the 51 point holy talent unavailable if you want to be raid viable, because Imp DS will still be necessary.

I thought about that at first, but I think people in caster, or "human" form are pretty vulnerable to fire and axes, too.
