I'm pretty sure you can just change a single textline and it'll change the servers it connects too, somewhere in your wow directory. Have never done this though.
edit: Yeah, you can also just get resurrected then on the EU.
There's hit rating food, now? Weird. I don't know why. Just weird.
Not sure why it is wierd considering the AP, SP, +heal and Mana per 5s foods.
Since my +hit is kind of low, I like using that Spicy Talbuk stuff when I am working things at 70.
Rogues require obscene amounts of Hit (like 315 just to avoid missing against a level 70, as I recall, depending on spec of course), so that 20 Hit food helps put me up to the level 70 minimum, and once I get a few upgrades, will allow me to wear 340ish Hit (if I so choose) and get at or near the cap vs. a boss.
Basically I doubt I'll ever stop using that stuff for boss fights.
I really wish they would get rid of the +hit mechanic, or severely alter it. So much gear is made completely useless by not having hit that it has basically become the end-all-be-all stat for Rogues. If a piece has the best stats in the world but no hit, it's basically deemed worthless. I've literally trashed almost every single heroic epic i've gotten on my Rogue because most of it has no hit, making it junk.
At the very minimum, lower the fucking hit caps. Max it out at 150 or 200, something that is fucking plausible so you can mix and match other stats like Crit/Haste etc. It's fucking dumb that hit rating trumps everything and is basically impossible to cap out until you get insanely geared, and even then to do so you have to sacrifice a fuck ton of other stats.
I'm incredibly tempted to play again, but don't want to waste the timecard that I have lying around here if I'm not going to use it all. Could anyone throw me a 10 day trial or something, to whet my appetite? Pweese.
Preferably a European one, if such a thing exists. I have a feeling that an American one won't let me play properly on European servers
Our FRAPS-happy mage does it again. (This is the "Lord Consumablar" guy.)
Am I missing something? It's just a video of a dude trying to fight a raid boss one on one?

Well, I made an account and ran around for a bit on my old server. I got to IF before I was greeted by the same spammers posting the exact same shit that they were posting 3 months ago.
I probably won't log that account again. That was a very nice reminder of why I quit in the first place.
Oh, and the same guilds are still cockblocked at the same raid bosses except for one horde guild who made it into BT/MH (Only after the KT nerf though) . My old guild has long since disbanded, and I could only find one member online.
Holy shitballs, the bear boss in ZA hits like a fucking mack-truck.
First time I actually broke out in a sweat while healing. Constant "Oh shiiiiit" feeling.
7... 7... 7... 7... OH GOD MORE 7... 7... 5!... 7... 7...
Yeah that's a real fun fight for healers. I hate fights where all I have to do is heal, especially when that's still not enough because the damage output is so fucking ridiculously high. Between the damn bear-riders and the bear avatar himself, I'm definitely not doing that part of ZA again. Fortunately most of Karazhan isn't like that (the exceptions being the skeletal ushers and Nightbane), and I'm hoping the rest of ZA isn't.
yeah, Panther says "HAI!"
My rag-tag guild does ZA once a week. We're progressing at a boss per week, so we're happy. Bear went down easy, yet we have failed to make the timer both times due to a resisted sheep one time and a one pull randomly deciding to have an extra- large aggro range the next time. Wierd.
Dragonhawk is next. Haha, hatchers.

I really enjoyed the one run I went on(...with a bunch of tier 4-5 raiders), until Zul'jin. Bear was easy, as I could tank human form easily enough and we had a very good maintank, Eagle was easy because people were on the ball, Halazzi was kind of a joke, Dragonhawk got hectic with no pally, and Malacrass was easy after the adds were down.
But Zul'jin was just on an entirely different level, which was shocking because I remember everyone saying that he wasn't so bad and that in fact, Dragonhawk or Malacrass were tougher. But it was really tough with not one, but two of our healers being really odd pvp balance/resto specc'd druids. We may have had other pvp specs there, I'm not sure. But the goddamn tornados in the eagle stage ruined us and when we finally got past them, the lynx charge-Imonurfase-mauls finished the job.
I also loove the design of the place, moreso than Karazhan, or Gruul's Lair, or Magtheridon's Lair, or SSC.
I've only done ZJ once, but I thought he was easier than malacrass, and that both are easier than stupid dragonhawk (especially without a paladin, how the shit do you do that.)

that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
My ZA experience is of course skewed by being in t5/t6 gear, but the dragonhawks never seemed to hit that hard. We'd release like 3-4 eggs at a time and just focus fire them down, and do that until there's only a few left on each side and burn him down.
The only thing I think is really stupid is Malacrass's adds only being vulnerable to one type off CC, so you have to have a specific raid setup. Kinda dumb for a ten-man instance.
I think I'm the only person in the world that finds troll-themed instances boring. ZF was cool. ZG, well... I guess it wasn't too old. ZA? What? These trolls have slightly darker skin? Oooooooohh that's so cool!

3-4? Hell, we release one entire side at a time, have a pally tank them and warlocks/mages nuke the fuck out of them, and we're only now getting T5 loot. :P
I like ZA, but the times stuff is harsh. We came within 30 seconds of the first chest when we had a death and had to rez a healer before the fight. We ironed out our dps and should get it the next time.
We want to get at least two chests for the weapons.

Yes, you had a pally. That makes it easy. But you can do it without one with careful handling of the release of eggs.

They certainly have been done a lot, but they're also getting better and better. I found ZF to be pretty boring, then ZG actually had some nifty mobs and a nice layout, and this just steps it up a notch.

Exactly, my point is you don't need to AOE them, @ people who whine about that fight being unfair because it "requires" a pally tank. Although that would probably be more conducive to actually getting the timed event down. But since we can't manage a static group and there's always some noob along, we haven't made more than once concerted effort to get all four down (they tried once and missed it by something dumb like 20 seconds, and I proclaimed that it's cos they didn't invite me, heh).
Any word in all the patch info regarding the start of a new Arena season?
Nope.
And I doubt we will. It's possible (if they expect the remaining development/testing time to go for, say, 2+ months), but I find it more likely that 2.4 will come out, and while Raiders begin eating that up, we'll see a 2.4.1 (or something) with a few bug fixes, maybe a little tuning as people "test" Sunwell on Live, perhaps a holiday event update, and S4, which I sort of expect to be like a halfway point between 2.4 itself and 3.0 (WOTLK pre-release patch), similar to what they did with 2.0; build up some hype by letting us play with the new talents and get a few little tastes of things to come (like the jewelcrafting recipes people were buying up and finding before TBC even came out, 60 blues d/e'ing into small prismatic shards ocassionally, and 60's trying to fight the 68's/69's by Karazhan for the first OMG NETHERWEAVE! ON AH FOR 1,000 GOLD!
I stand firmly convinced that we'll see S4 before WOTLK, but I doubt it'll be with 2.4 at this point.
I'm not ruling it out, but I suspect we have a little longer to go. Even assuming a March or April release for 2.4, unless we get a surprise summer release for the expansion, they don't want S3 to go super long, nor for S4 to be super short.
Someone in Blizzard has to have worked this out, and I'm sure they have a tentative timeline set up, but we won't know until a few weeks before S4 is due to go live as to when exactly that will be.

Hey guys, if you're feeling generous can you take a moment to check out the link in my sig? Epic hair for charity.
Also, the draenei starting area is so easy to burn through, I should probably be charged with arson. 18 levels in like 16 hours of play FTW.

It's the same way tanking it. "Jesus god can't screw up my cooldowns HOLY SHIELD SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM okay it's up jesus god I've got years on aggro where's our damned DPS healers at 30% mana TAUNT IT OFF ME GODDAMNIT whew okay, can I change my pants in thirty seconds because I'm pretty sure I shit these."
My roommate once tried to ask me a question while I was tanking him and was rather pissed when I immediately yelled "not now."
I don't think I've ever felt this way doing Nalorakk, either as a healer or as a tank. To me he was another tank n' spank. Of course, the way we do it, I tank Troll, take the mangle, then the other tank taunts off me and his bleed effects don't drop his hit points anywhere near as fast without the mangle.
Didn't really plan it that way, just sort of happened.

Nalorakk is by far the easiest boss in that instance. And it's an instance full of easy bosses. The only boss that tends to be a little difficult is Malaconsecrass. Oh, and Jan'Alai when we DPS him down waaaay too fast and get the last half of the dragonhawks all at once.
We had one attempt on the bear boss where we made our transitions, shared the cleave, etc. Then, on my second turn to tank, I got smoked, and hard. I imagine it's completely a gear thing, and I am sure we have better tanks in the Beasts than me, so things ought to work out eventually.

Eh. Eagle is a cakewalk for everyone involved. Bear is actually moderately difficult for tanks and healers.
edit: and the fact it's the only real gear check in the instance makes it difficult depending on how your raid is geared.

They already sort of have /facepalm permanently on their faces for making S3 so ridiculous.
Look for arena gear to be different in S4, possibly significantly so.
I very much doubt that making S3 gear so good was unintentional.
Sure, if they want S3 to be 11 months long, sure.
See my lengthy (and, imo, well thought out) post on the matter just a wee bit up this page for further "insight" (aka; drunken rambling).
