Dealmakers

Skullman's topic got me thinking not just on what I hate about people, but what I love about people. I think SE needs a feel-good thread. Basically, the opposite of Skullman's dealbreaker thread. What are the little things that cement your love of girlfriends/boyfriends, spouses, friends and family? The opinions they share with you, the ones they dont that make you love them even more, the little mannerisms and behaviors, the things you do together, things they say to you.

Personally, theres nothing I love more than the way my gf will snuggle up to me and look at me with that heart-warmingly earnest "aww he's so cute" face whenever I start singing along to a song, awfully. Its even more poignant as shes a professional singer, but she just melts when I do absentminded stuff like that. Also, the fact that she describes it as getting a glimpse of me unguarded, the fact that she can articulate and appreciate that is something special.

Also, the fact that I have like 3 real friends i've known all my life. We grew up together, went to same kindergarten, highschool, even uni. These three guys are all I need socially to connect to other people, best drinking buddies in the world.

With one particular horse, called Nugget, he embraces. The animal digs its sweaty brow into his cheek, and they stand in the dark for an hour--like a necking couple. And of all nonsensical things--I keep thinking about the horse! Not the boy: the horse, and what it may be trying to do. I keep seeing that huge head kissing him with its chained mouth. Nudging through the metal some desire absolutely irrelevant to filling its belly or propagating its own kind. What desire could that be? Not to stay a horse any longer? Not to remain reined up for ever in those particular genetic strings? Is it possible, at certain moments we cannot imagine, a horse can add its sufferings together--the non-stop jerks and jabs that are its daily life--and turn them into grief? What use is grief to a horse?

People with some guts, but who keep some taste about themselves

    People who can joke around

People who occaisionally drop a few of their marbles, so to speak

Basically I like anyone willing to have a conversation with me, and there is only 2 people I actively avoid
