I dunno seems kind of dangerous knighting someone with a lightsaber...
I'd expect it to be even more dangerous if you're Sith - am I the only one who sees them sometimes taking a swing to see if their apprentice is on the ball enough to see it coming and block it?
So I happened upon a news article today that listed the release date of this game as April 1. Much before the current Gamestop website list of 9/9. Any confirmation of this? This game looks quite nice and I plan to pre-order at the least.

Once the preview starts, the text description says the game hits store shelves April 1.
Preemptive April Fool's joke, perhaps?
Not believing any dates till it's on the shelves.
P.S.: DO WANT.
Damn that would be amazing if it came out April...thats like half a month, but I highly doubt it...I wish I was wrong. Anyway I can't wait for this game I had so much fun with outcast and academy
wow they pushed it back again.. i remember seeing march... back in say november. I hate game companies taht do this... but usually it fixes what is wrong with the game...

It used to bother me, until I realised that I'd rather play a finished, working, polished game than something rushed out to appease the customers.
I'm not a graphics over gameplay person but I'm sick of developers just not even trying to push what the Wii is capable of. I'm still hoping releases like Galaxy and Brawl (but especially Galaxy) will convince the companies making games for the Wii that PS2 / PSP ports just aren't going to cut it. At very least do something stylistically different. In my opinion they really should have gone with the realistic look for the 360 and PS3 and tried a style similar to the Clone Wars animated series for the Wii. Wind Waker is one of the best looking games of the Gamecube in my opinion, imagine a cell shaded Force Unleashed game on the Wii. It's almost too perfect.
I cannot see a reason, based on what I've seen of this, to not get the 360 or PS3 versions instead. They look much better, novelty motion controls will not be sufficient for me to get the Wii version and I really hate to admit this, but how ass that looks really does detract from what they are trying to achieve with the game.
Goddammit PS2. Why do you have to ruin everything?
It's not the PS2's fault that the Wii was made with so little power under the hood. Developers can extend their market by what, 6 or 7 times, simply by making the game for the PS2 and porting it to the Wii and/or PSP, rather than just making a Wii version. If the Wii was a bit more powerful, they couldn't do that, and we wouldn't see this kind of garbage happening over and over again.
It looks fine. The PS2 version looks incredible considering. Look, the Wii has butkus under the hood. That's fine, because it's not supposed to, but you can't have it both ways. You can't go "Wii is awesome because it's innovative and doesn't need great graphics!" and then go "aww man these graphics suck".

The problem is that many of the PS2 ports look worse than gamecube games; staying with the star wars analogy, RS2 looks better than 90% of the games out for the Wii and that was a freaking launch game. That said, TFU for the wii actually doesn't look half bad. At least as good a Battlefront 2, if a bit sparser.

Mother fucking yes, please. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 was the most awesome multiplayer game ever with a huge community. There were so many maps and mods, and they continued to be made well after the game's life. I really want them to just make a new one with awesome mod support and multiplayer.

Yes.
The whole sodding point of the Wii was a cheaper, more affordable console that wasn't about raw processing power for graphics, but instead a focus on potential for innovative gameplay. Don't take it as a personal insult when the cocking thing doesn't have the best graphics.

That's not the point. There are multiple gamecube and PS2 games with far better graphics than displayed in that video. I wouldn't expect the Wii to have better graphics than the PS3, but I would expect it to look better than an average Dreamcast game, considering it's several times more powerful than the Gamecube.

One of the few games where 1v1 matches were a really popular game mode (Duelling). Plus the force powers made CTF a lot more tactical.
The sheer number of mods was pretty awesome. Didn't someone recently complete a mod that completely re-vamped the sabre combat and remade scenes from the movies? And allowed you to easily create your own custom fights with dozens of NPC's all over the place?

I don't think it's a complaint about having the best graphics, it's a complaint of laziness.
Graphically, IMO:
PS2<GC<XBox<Wii< 360/PS2
Yet we aren't seeing XBox quality graphics, we're getting the worst of LAST gen, not even the worst of THIS gen.
Games like Galaxy and Brawl show us what we should be getting, yet 3rd parties are too stupid (smart?) to do this, probably because they know it will sell anyway..
So wait, is there a different video to what I'm watching? Because I'm seeing a small, compressed video on gametrailers that likely tells you nothing about how the final game actually looks running at a proper resolution on a tv screen.

But I'm a graphics whore so I bought a 360.
I'm a graphics whore to but I'm not sure to get it for the 360 or hold out for the PC version...I mean come on, how could they do this to us! We got their asses off the ground!

I guess I'll rent both versions because while I like the pretty, the ability to actually make a force push motion and have that actually work is way too much incentive to not at least play it.

If by several you mean...2? This looks better than a number of GameCube games, and if you fathom for a moment the horsepower behind their engine mechanics - thats where a lot of the horsepower is going - it starts to make sense.

The original movies made them sound so cool, too.

Enlist in Star Citizen! Citizenship must be earned!
Looks like crap.
EDIT (days later): Eh, you be the judge of that. I've been spoiled by the PS2 and Wii's first and second party offerings.
Only in terms of graphics.
The animations look like crap as well.

For a system that was so good to me, it sure likes to crap down my throat every once in awhile in this new generation of consoles.
*BLEEP* YOU!

Basically they're focusing on the gameplay, which is what you bought the Wii for remember, and people complain.
I feel completely entitled to laugh sarcastically at anybody who does this.
