Monitor angling

Forgive what is probably a really obvious question but I'm kind of skittish about manhandling expensive electronics. I have this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8470291&type=product&id=1184768699170 display. It's nice, but big and heavy and also angled in exactly the wrong direction I need it to be (down instead of up.)

My question is this: I see metal slide hinges where it connects to the base and some screws in back and it is obvious it is made to adjust viewing angle, but the manual makes absolutly no mention of how I go about doing that (doesn't even mention it.) Pushing lightly produces no result. Push harder? Can anybody assist? Thanks in advance.
