I realize that most of you hated my previous video, apparently because it had Linkin Park in it. Personally didn't care what you thought of the band, just wished you would focus more on the video itself. Anyway, I decided to make another GMV, this time with MGS4 and the Foo Fighters. Don't care what you think of them, if you think this is spam then tell me a more appropriate thread, because right now I just want criticism. The Pros, the Cons. No insults or praise, since everyone thinks I'm seeking praise. If you really want to insult me or my video, then go right ahead. Don't expect me to take it too hard, I'm actaully in a pretty cheery mood. So, yeah, enjoy I guess.

There's nothing I hate more than seeking some footage on Youtube and landing on another one of those god damn montages with a completely innapropriate song.
So maybe you don't have to make a new damn thread every time an idea pops into your head.
And maybe you don't have to make a new threat just to whore out your videos of other people's work that you synched up to other people's work.
I mean, look at the other threads around here. Do you see any other threads that are people whoring out videos they made of cutscenes to bands? Any? I thought not. Now do you see any people making threads devoted to links of stuff they made even if it's original material? Again, not that's open or well received.
Probably you should lurk a little more and get a feel for what passes around here. And when people shoot down your threads you probably shouldn't make the same thread again but with different material borrowed.
And yes, I know. The internet monsters are out in force, no reason to be such an asshole.

I really can't blame the reactions, though. G&T isn't really known as a "forgiving to newbies" forum, and I don't think most people realize the time and patience it takes to actually make one of these things. My buddy is still working on a video he started a year ago (about FFVII Advent Children, this forum's favorite video game movie!! /sarcasm)

I'm trying to get as much publicity for my latest show, so you know what I do? I link to my myspace music which has demos for it in my sig, where it's not in the way. You know why I put it there? Because in the fucking rules thread that's what it says to do. Once I get the site for me up I'll be linking there.
And it's not that we're unforgiving to newbies, even though I hear someone say that every time something like this comes up, it's that we're unforgiving to newbies who come in, don't take any time to figure out how things work around here, and make a thread for a youtube link to a cutscene set to some music the person found, or something stupid like that. This joker in the OP first showed up, made two threads about the POP games, neither of which were really worth anything, and then posted a POP music video that he made, and didn't get the hint when people shot him down.
He did nothing wrong. If people don't like the thread, then it will fade into obscurity on its own. It's not like this forum is getting flooded with people posting videos that they made. If people liked this sort of thing (and you can feel free to not), then the thread would most likely get turned into a "video game music video" thread, where people who had any interest would post videos that they made or talk about other's videos. It's not like he's spamming the board. This forum takes "unnecessary threads" way too seriously (unnecessary being a term open for debate).
