Opening up our place?

So my wife and I are thinking about opening up our place during PAX for people to sleep and such. I assume there have been people who have done the same thing in years past. Could any of you share your experience in doing that?
Also, we don't live in Seattle, rather we live in Kent (which for those not from WA, 20 miles south of downtown Seattle). Our place is 2 miles from Kent Station which has the 150 bus leaving every 15 mins right to PAX (which is what I did last year).
