Start it off a little early today with some Green Lantern scans.

Arkham? Whoever could be needing a Sinestro ring from there?

Ruh Roh Shaggy! I guess Joke was out of town when the ring came a calling. But alas...
Johns is a cocktease.

Daredevil is going to kick so much ass next month. Not a specific moment, but damn does Brubaker know how to write a climax.

Cap was all kinds of crazy this week. I liked the preview pages that showed upa few days ago with Bucky shooting couple AIM guys and the shield bouncing off the last guy behind him.

Here's a decent looking shot of his new costume.
    ca34dcp0013yx6.jpg

And here's how Skull is ratcheting up the fear and chaos in America.
    ca34dcp0033in3.jpg

Ya, those are more of Faustus' brainwashed agents opening fire on protesters outside the White House. He's also had his corporations up oil prices by like double, forclose houses across the country and generally fuck shit up. The issue read fast, but a lot of ground was covered.

    edit - resized the images.

I think if you start around when Cap died, you'd be more than fine. While the first dozen or so issues deal with bringing back Bucky and setting up Lukin and the Skull (and it is awesome), they aren't essential to this new section of the book. At least I don't think you'd be missing out on as long as you maybe do a quick Wikipedia or something for the first bunch of issues.

Also, everyone should buy What If? Spider-Man Vs Wolverine.

I've got the first two trades (Winter Solider) but I think I'll wait and catch up first then maybe come into the monthlies.

I know that in the Iron Heights prison in Keystone they force the inmates to stay in costume as a form of humiliation. To showcase that despite their flashy costumes and gear they still ended up in jail like any normal criminal.

It's more the writer/artist's discretion. I think since it was a GL book, they wanted GL fans to know it was the Scarecrow and they wouldn't be wondering who this Crane guy was based on the small door tag. In most Batman books, the inmates rarely have costumes unless they are going for the 'hey look at this super villain!' effect.

Also, he kind of loses his costume when the GL's come in. It's only the mask and some prison clothes then.

Gee, does anyone want to guess what my moment of the week was?

It was Cap 34 (the whole issue) in case you were wondering.

I literally yelled out "Oh, Shit" as soon as
The agents' GPS locators went back online.

And timing it for as soon as the TV cameras are running? Priceless.

I take it I'm the only one that really disliked the last issue of Y? I'm of the mind I would have preferred it ended at #59. The only thing I found remotely interesting in the issue was Yorick escaping at the end and the 355 flashback. I expected a time skip, but I thought it would be a lot different than what we were given. Maybe I just expected / hyped this up too much to myself.

From Black Adam #6, or as I like to call it..
Faust is the most evil cunt around.

I mean, first he sends Teth on this quest to recover the pieces of the amulet...then swaps out Isis' bones for Ralph Dibny's. Then he tricks Teth into believing that he failed by using up too much of Isis' power, and then walks off with the mans lady after he blew the hell out of there!

    No. He. Friggin'. Di'int.

I mean, we pretty much knew the eventual outcome, but still. Sick burn.
