I think with the smaller sample size, Blue Beetle got a little over represented.

Like, I don't know what he's doing in Best Hero at all.

What's the opposite of lime because that is just wrong on so many levels.
Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting - Captain America
Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction and David Aja - Immortal Iron Fist
Geoff Johns and Dale Eaglesham - Justice Society of America
Geoff Johns, Jeff Katz and Dan Jurgens - Booster Gold
Geoff Johns, Ivan Reis and Ethan VanSciver - Green Lantern

Also, Geoff Johns defeats Ed Brubaker 3-2!

shit I forgot about this yesterday

anyway I hate all of you for not voting for The Spirit in anything

you should be ashamed of yourselves and choke on Darwyn Cooke and J. Bone and Dave Stewert's collective penises until death

Yes, he is. I would've voted for him too if I hadn't forgotten to post my list. His book has consistantly been my favourite comic out of DC over the last year, only occasionally beaten by Booster Gold and Green Lantern.

His books pretty great but he doesn't deserve Hero of the Year at all.

The issues I've read of Blue Beetle have been decent but nothing extraordinary, but yeah, he's really not a significant character at this point and I'm not quite sure I get the Hero of the Year nod.

Not that, you know, it really matters or anything, but still.

And jeez, Grant Morrison has been working magic on his Batman run, and All-Star Batman and Robin is terribly awesome. How did Blue Beetle take precedence over Batman?

    (I am a fanboy)

Well first off, those are two completely different Batman's and so would be counted as two seperate characters (just like Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man). And while Grant Morrison's run has been pretty awesome, it was also plagued by delays early last year and then went into a pretty mediocre crossover event.

All Star Batman and Robin? I don't see how he'd even be a contender. Sure, I enjoy the book but Batman's not much of a hero in it, more of a complete dick.

Blue Beetle, however, has been teaming up with Guy Gardner and some New Gods, taking on Lobo, Eclipso and Spectre and saving the world from a bunch of aliens that fought The Guardians to a stalemate. How isn't he one of the "Heroes of the Year"?
