If you really look at Melee, there are only four sets of clones.
Dr. Mario Mario
Falco Fox
Pichu Pikachu
Roy Marth
Gannondorf and Falcon, have basically the same moves, play pretty much nothing alike. The size and speed difference is enough for me to call Young Link and Link different. The other four sets just have slight move alterations.
Now they have
Falco Fox Wolf-All play differently
Lucas Ness-Play differently
Ike Marth-Very different
So we're pretty much clone free by my standards. Its kinda like how the VS. series really changed up how Ken/Ryu/Akuma and all the other clones played. Good work.
The game itself defined the clones by placing their icons slightly behind the original character. You can tell by tilting the screen with the C-Stick. This means that Ganondorf and Young Link are both clones as well.
I understand this, what I'm saying is that in my opinion only four of them play anything alike, and now they all play pretty much differently. They're all luigi now.
I plan on using Remote + Nunchuk with some slight alterations to the default setup.
Tap Jump Off
D-Pad Down to Jump
C to grab
I'm going to at least give it a try, holding a remote and nunchuk in my hands it seems like it would work, but I'll have to decide through gameplay.
Exactly what I had in mind. And since you can map the same function to several buttons I'm putting Jump on every direction on the D-pad just in case I somehow hit the sides instead.
Luigi was a clone in 64, he was not a clone in Melee, and even less of a clone in Brawl with Mario and Luigi having different final smashes, and Mario getting FLUDD for Down B.
I don't currently have a Gamecube or classic controller and I have a feeling my fingers are gonna die on me using NES style if playing Punch-Out! is any indication.

Yeah, I considered that as well right after I posted, and will probably do so.
One thing that is definitely going to take gameplay testing to know if its any good or not is Shake Smash. But I'll at least try it.

You know what sucked about Luigi in Melee? His voice was Mario's. I played yesterday and it was so jarring. Glad he has his own this time.
Snake, did you just stick that Aperture-Science-Thing-We-Don't-Know-What-It-Does into the Aperture-Science-Emergency-Intelligence-Underground-Beach-Incinerator?

Did you know that like 1 out of every 1000 boxes that appear on Shadow Moses is actually a convincing rendition of the Weighted Companion Cube? It's just dissimilar enough to not be copyright infringement.
You thought this was going to to say I was making it up, didn't you? Well, I'm actually telling the truth

Well isn't that odd. Wonder why they altered the mine's appearance?

Yeah I'll try it but I doubt I'd stick with it.

Looks a bit sillier now, doesn't it?
Too realistic?
But then you would need to bring a remote AND a gamecube controller if you wanted to use that profile. This saves having to bring another controller.
Yeah, its not that big a deal, but its still something.
Snake's landmine has obviously been replaced with the Aperture Science Proximity-Detonated Anti-Personnel Explosive Device

I know he wasn't the best fighter but dammit if he didn't have style. That and his throws were unfuckable.
Wait, is that a classic Donkey Kong tileset for the stage builder? Sweet.
