I always thought San Jose was kinda suburban-y, then I found out it was the 10th largest city in the US. Whatever city you live in? Odds are it's smaller than where I grew up.

That was kind of a weird revelation for me, because I was always still trying to get to even bigger cities when I left San Jose.

Yeah I grew up in an odd little science town on a mountain in New Mexico and went to school in yeehaw West Texas. Since leaving school, I've felt really at home in cities, and can't really countenance living in a suburb or rural burg again.

The reasoning is that there will one football thread for the whole football season.

And the higher-ups don't go nuts about that like they do for other extra-long threads?
I even mentioned it to Ramius once, and he just set off a microdiscussion about what the longest thread was.

    Dumbo.

They're both really good movies. The War is Kevin Costner being morose and Frodo being a hick. Night Watch is a Russian fantasy/horror thriller, and probably the best thing to come out of that landmass since vodka and female tennis stars.

See this is why the alignment system just doesn't work for most people.

Everyone assumes that they are Good, but at the end of the day they are merely Neutral/Unaligned, perhaps with Good tendencies (Good curious, as the new-fangled kids say).

I prefer to embrace honesty through Evil.

    But seriously, fuck Paladins.

I really have no idea, Eddy. I've been having these fucking terrible mood swings, going from angry to sad to neutral. And just half an hour ago, I'm feeling like shit and decide to go throw out the trash, and I run into hot neighbour girl in some SUV with her boyfriend. So I awkwardly shuffle past her, deposit garbage, head upstairs, and realize I recognize that SUV from when I walked by the balcony with my pants off as it pulled in.

So tomorrow I get to see her at work and oh what fun will be had...

Instead of the alignment square, they should do a philosophical matrix. Hedonist, materialist, idealist, etc. I don't actually know what they're doing, but I think something like that would be cool.
