Hard drive error detection

Does anyone know of any freeware utility that will write and then read to every sector on a harddrive to detect errors, then report the memory blocks that fail?

I have a 16GB RAMDrive and I believe one of the modules is bad, if I can find out which memory range, it should let me identify which module, which I can then swap.

Basically I need a Memtest86 for harddrives.
