BIOS Checksum Error

A few minutes ago, my main system started outputting a flickering image to my monitor, followed by Firefox crashing, followed by a blue screen, followed by a reboot, and then getting an error that reads along the lines of:

"Award Blackboot v 1.0

BIOS Rom Checksum Error"

And then attempts to boot from the CD, then floppy, neither of which yield any results.

I have no idea what to do here. For reference, my motherboard is an ASUS A8N-SLI premium.

I found that tilting it doesn't work very well, and once I started jerking it, I got much better results.

Try resetting your CMOS by finding the jumper on your mobo and moving it to the reset position and turning the computer on, then put it back and see if you're able to boot. The manual will tell how to do it, it's easy on an A8N.

No dice after resetting the CMOS RTC RAM data. What's the next step here?

More than likely your motherboard has failed. Is it still under warranty?
