So Touch Detective 2 1/2 is now $15 at GameStop

Just got GS's e-mail newsletter, and Touch Detective 2 1/2, the under-the-radar sequel to the under-the-radar original point-and-click DS adventure, is now a whopping 15 bucks new. I enjoyed the first one as a front-to-back experience but had very little incentive to go back to it and eventually traded it off; I saw that the second one came out but it was in the crowded, sweaty halls of Q4 '07, so it had to sit on the sidelines for me.

Did anyone here ever pick it up? Any impressions of it? I'm not expecting the grand revival of point-and-clicks but I liked the art style and what little we learned of the characters. The few reviews I found essentially said "more of what the first game had" but I was curious as to what G&T thought.

(EDIT: This is in the U.S., I'm unsure of if the price drop is in other territories.)

Is this a permanent thing or just something for a promotion? I do want the game, as I enjoyed the original, but I don't have the funds for it currently.

It looks like a permanent price drop, since it was also $20 initially and the ad says "Now $14.99!" It's on the GS home page too.

I wish it would drop up here in Canadia, I won't pay $30 for it but I'd pay $15.

I got it when it first came out. It's better than the first one, and the puzzles are better, though a couple are still pretty frustrating. The new characters are pretty interesting, as well, and the last case is just... well, it's out there.

How long is the second game compared to the first? I found the first one fun but it was incredibly short.

I think it's a bit longer, but not by much.

Still, at $15, there really isn't any reason not to get it if you liked the first.

True. I think the next time I hit GameStop I'm gonna put the money I save from Patapon's reduced price into getting this.
