Hey guys, the fine folks at Penny Arcade has inspired my friend to start my own comic strip. he figure if a couple of gaming goof balls can do it, he will give it a shot. Here are some examples of his artwork. The comic is not supposed to be bad outstanding, but I feel the simplicity gives it a little something extra. I am looking for seriouse opinions of the comic. I know this is a comic site, but these guys have nothing to fear about my comic stealing traffic.

    My first bit of warning would be that this is an art critique forum. Simple art is fine, or whatever, but that's really the main/only feedback you're going to get. I would recommend posting more art so that it doesn't look like site whoring.

    The site looks to be more of the same. Why are the characters two food items suspended in space? Give them some arms, legs, and a face.

    Wait, the OP says that this isn't your work. You should get your friend to come do this, because telling you the things that need to be said about it won't do any good.

    True it would help, but he has little time with all his responsibilities to do this kind of thing, so i volunteered to help.

    ok lol, i thought i would jump in and say that i would rather see something like this,
    though this is like capnmangos stlye and penny too. i just find talking food wierd.
    plus it looks like your float is falling/floating in the sky.

    The art is very, very, very boring and amateurish.

    I can't really give critiques about it because you're not even the artist.

    I'd mosey on over to the rules thread and read the section under site-whoring.

    Have your friend come back so we can give him our honest critiques.

    Edit: Ya, that panel that Jeckelhyde just did in one minute is better than any I saw on your friends website.

    God. I am the artist/writer of this comic, and I just want to make it clear that I did not ask nor did I encourage phlashko to whore out my website in this manner. As for your critiques, I mostly agree, but I draw the comic with an attitude akin to masturbation. It is mostly an excerise in doodling, messing around with photoshop, and to a lesser degree a web site.
