Jerry Holkins mentioned something at PAX about a list of Educational Software he thought was worth looking into. I believe he said he posted it on PA. Can anyone help me find his recommendations? (PC preferred)
Also, I have bought Brain Age, Brain Age 2, and Brain Academy for the NDS and think they are fantastic. Are there similar things for the PC as well?
Any help is appreciated,
~p
[edit: educational software for children, ages 5-10]
Lucas Learning has a lot of games, apparently a lot with starwars themed games
I played DinoPark Tycoon (made by the same group that did Number Munchers and Oregon Trail) at school. I also used to play SimAnt and SimCity. SimCity might be a little difficult, though. These games are pretty outdated, and therefore harder to buy and install. There's other "tycoon" games, but I don't know how easy it is for someone younger to play.

There's tux4kids, http://alioth.debian.org/projects/tux4kids/ . There used to be a live linux CD, which made a good sandbox, but I don't think it exists anymore.
