We don't have any idea who charname actually WAS, do we? :P
Presumably Rainfall. It sounds like Yoshimo was targeted twice - by Bohdi and charname. Making it likely that Yoshimo was Quoth- since she revealed that she had an alternate winning condition. And we know who Mr. D attacked- sooo
While I think betrayal and grudging is ever so fun to watch, it doesn't make me trust a person.

Can I ask that everyday someone who has played BG give us a quick summery of the characters who are dead? Really hard to know whats going on without some information

Spoilered for spoilers.
Jaheira: Druid/Fighter, half-Elf, originally married to a coward of a man named Khalid, Khalid died in the interval between games 1 and 2, Jaheira is a possible romance in BG2. She's also a Harper, and she's got something of an overbearing personality when it comes to doing what she thinks the group should be doing. Additionally, it is discovered that she and Khalid were actually placed specifically to wait for your arrival in BG1, because your foster father Gorion had an idea that he would not survive taking you out of Candlekeep, and when he subsequently died at Sarevok's hands, you were urged to go on to Khalid and Jaheira.
Yoshimo: A Thief with an overblown opinion of himself. He eventually turns on the party, and it is subsequently discovered that he has been afflicted with a horrible curse that will kill him in the most painful manner possible if he doesn't betray the party at a crucial moment. Eventually, should you recover his "blackened heart", you can redeem him by bringing the heart to a cleric of Illmater, although he still remains permanently dead.
Viconia: My personal favorite character, Viconia is a Drow Elf you meet almost at random in the first game, as she is being chased by, if I recall right, bounty hunters or something just because she's Drow. The fact that she's an evil worshipper of Shar, the goddess of vengeance and all manner of unpleasantness, and that her disposition is extrmeely incindiary doesn't help her much. In BG2, you encounter her again, being nearly burned at the stake by fanatical cultists. Should you choose to save her, she becomes another romance option, and in my opinion the most intresting to pursue, and can eventually be redeemed to be Chaotic Good instead of evil in the second game's expansion.
There was no time for grief. The battle began anew, swords whirling and spells flying. A druid with no desire other than to see his son grow into a man had his head torn clean from his shoulders. A mage who wished to make a better world for those less fortunate than her was felled by the swing of an axe. The swords whirled, the spells flew.
In the centre of the battlefield, a hooded figure was confronted by two others, both of them radiating a sinister power. Nodding to each other, a temporary truce was formed. The hood was swept away, revealing a dark skinned female, already beginning an incantation – when a click of the fingers sealed her lips. The priestess of Bhaal and the shattered one both smiled grimly, before the priestess used her powers to lift the young drow high up into the air. The traitor to the elves, breaking into a grin, clenched his fist. A series of audible cracks echoed throughout Bhaal’s realm as the Shattered One broke the girl’s legs in a multitude of places, her screams almost drowned out by the sound of shattering bone. He nodded, and the ex-priestess mustered her unholy might to slam her back into the ground, leaving the drow’s body a broken wreck.
Not content with that level of mutilation, the Shattered One unleashed a rain of magical fire upon the poor girl, laughing even as the flesh melted from her sobbing face.
The youth from Candlekeep, raised by a ray of light from the heavens, strode past the twitching corpses with murder in his heart.

To get a buffer up there.
While I think betrayal and grudging is ever so fun to watch, it doesn't make me trust a person.
