Making this short.

Sneezed earlier today, felt a sharp pain in my throat. Throat was sore for the rest of the day.

A few minutes ago, I felt a sharp stab in my thraot, now it hurts to swallow.

DId I break a small bone near my throat? Tear some cartilage? Any ideas? Thinking about Doctor now, just wondering what to expect...

I imagine it's highly unlikely that you could have broken your windpipe from a sneeze (however violent). Maybe you just strained something.

Seeing your doctor is a smart bet, as always.

Maybe you're just sick. Do you know where your lymph nodes are? Do they hurt to press on them? You can feel them if you put your fingers on the bottom of your jaw bone right about where your teeth end inside your mouth, and then shift your fingers just inside a bit so they're between where your jaw bone sits and where your tongue would be in the middle. You should feel two... things, sort of floating in there if you push on them gently. If they're a little sore to the touch, they're infected and there's a chance you'll need antibiotics to get them well again. Also your symptoms will probably get worse for the next day or two as well.

If they're not swollen, then I don't know what you've done to yourself. You might have a community health info line that you can call to talk to a nurse before admitting yourself to a clinic though. Might get some tips.

I have particularly violent sneezes sometimes, and I know exactly what you're talking about. It goes away after a while. It feels like a knife lodged in your throat. But, yeah, it's just a strain.

It is not the lymph nodes. I had mono and I know what they feel like swollen. This is like the hard tissue right behind the adam's apple.

I took some advil, ate some ice cream and hope it is better in the morning. If not, to the doctor I go...

You most likely tore or strained the cartilage, happens sometimes if you sneeze or swallow something too big. It'll be sore for a day or two, try to swallow things a little at a time for a few days.
