I was trying to watch ASimPerson's last video, where he gets Epona, and while he said the video is supposed to be over an hour long Google cuts it out at 23 minutes. Apparently that wasn't the case earlier because you guys were commenting on the Bottom of the Well, but I can't get to that part. Just wondering if that is the case for everyone now and if there is a way I could see the rest. Thanks.
You can't kill the fireball monsters or the sparkies, sorry.
Get the item from the witch that Schide mentioned. When you see those little skulls that bounce around and drain your mana when they hit you, use it on them, they turn into fairies.
So I tried uploading my newest video to Google last night and it up and disappeared. I can't convince the uploader to log in right now and I don't have time to babysit dailymotion before I go to work. I'll try it again tonight while I'm recording the next episode.
As for CGH, yeah, that video is supposed to be an hour and 3 minutes long. I don't know what the hell is wrong with google.
Sorry. I feel pretty bad about it since I posted yesterday that I was going to have something uploaded.
Hopefully everything cooperates when I get home tonight. I'll have a video uploading and I'll be recording at the same time and uploading that overnight. I hope.
So, is the Twilight Princess LP cancelled? At this rate, all the others will be done before it gets off the ground.
I don't think so. There's still:
The Legend of Zelda
Oracle of Seasons
Oracle of Ages
Master Quest
Twilight Princess
Phantom Hourglass
And of course, the CD-I Zeldas. There's sort of a double wave thing I see coming. Ocarina, LttP, Minish Cap, and Zelda 2 will all be finished up pretty soon here (next few weeks) but (for example) Majora's Mask and Wind Waker are both just getting started. They'll likely chug along (as they tend to be longer games) while people start up the others.
The only one that might be unfeasible for a LP now is Phantom Hourglass, because there's not really a good way to capture video from that yet (the other portable systems have the Game Boy Player, other systems have video outs that can be easily captured with the right video card.) The only option is to record it from a camera, which is pretty difficult if the person intends to play it at the same time.
EDIT: Okay, I can't say whether or not recording the CD-I games will be easy. I've never seen whatever system is supposed to play them, so unless they're just PC games then they may be difficult as well.
On the subject of Phantom Hourglass, I've been thinking about how to record it a bit as I've been playing it, and the only thing I can think of that might work, since apparently there's no good way to capture it on a computer, Would be to have some sort of miniature camera that you could strap to your forehead area in order for it to basically be showing what you are looking at. Of course then you'd have the difficulties of holding it in position for the whole time, and having your hand and stylus in the way, but then you have those in the way when you're playing it anyway.
So in conclusion, yeah, good luck in making an LP of that, whoever thinks they can do it.
Finally uploaded. Having technical issues with episode 14 - my dumb ass ran out of hard drive space. Anyway, the above episode is pretty terrible. I cut out an additional 40 minutes of me wandering around killing Skulltullas and whatnot. Ugh.
Ok, hopefully, I will have the first episode of Twilight Princess encoded and up tommrow assuming Google isn't retarded. I re-recorded in hopes that it Google will recognize the video this time, and if that fails, screw it, the video is getting split and being put up onto Viemo.
ASimPerson, you poor man. You don't ever have to buy the Giant's Knife unless you just *want* to waste 200 Rupees.
You get the Broken Biggoron Sword in the Trading Sequence.
Still, it was probably a good idea to buy it and show it off to those who haven't played. Plus there's not exactly a lot to do with Rupees for the rest of the game, unless you want to buy Blue Potions. Oh, and the Goron Tunic is in the shop because it's possible to lose it. If you get swallowed by a... certain enemy... it will eat your tunic and shield. The only exception is the Kokiri Tunic: since there's only one in the game you won't lose it. Well, that and the other shield you'll be getting (and that's not a spoiler because by now everyone can see there's a place for a third shield.)

Yeah, I figured that in my aborted attempt last night to do the dungeon. Damn like-likes. At least in this game when you kill them you get your stuff back.
ASimPerson, I'm mostly enjoying your videos but they could defeinitely use some more editing. At least twice in your last update we see you just standing there, not doing or saying anything. (I assume this is while you look things up in some sort of guide) That should probably not make it to the final video.
Hrm, I try to do some editing of situations like that (usually pondering what my next move is). That last episode was definitely not my favorite thing ever. I guess I missed a few spots, though. (Also, I try to start uploading these as soon as I can, so I don't rewatch the whole thing.)
This next episode (which is still uploading) is pretty tight, except for 1 little spot of backtracking. I think it's pretty decent overall, especially compared to the disaster that was the last one.
In the future, I'll try to do a better job with the editing, though. Sorry about that.
So expect an update at some point within the next 24 hours. I still have this paper to finish, but after that I should have at least until tomorrow evening to put towards my next video.
Things to expect: mini-quests, heart pieces, monkeys, and probably more Tingle. Oh, and lots of Deku.
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time
Episode 14: The Fire Temple
(Still can't log in with the Google desktop uploader...) Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Also, is it just me, or is the volume level a little too high for these videos? If so, I'll make it quieter in the future.
Saturday 22 March 2008 2:00 PM PST.
Valkun faces off with Ganon once and for all. VS
Will Link face soul crushing defeat at the hands of his laughing nemesis or will he finally get that sweet reward from the sexiest princess of the land? Find out next time!
2:00 PM PST, 5:00 EST. For those of you who haven't done this before, we can accomodate ANY number of viewers, just don't expect too high of a frame rate.
But, yeah, episode 15 will probably be general BS'ing around in preparation for everyone's favorite dungeon.
I was thinking about opening it up for guest commentary, but I think this is something I will suffer through all by myself. Episode 16 will be the Water Temple in its entirety (unedited). That's right folks, you think my videos are long now, you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Re: unexplored room on fifth floor:
There's a spot you can play the Scarecrow's Song. It's the rightmost room on the third floor (it's the dual floored room with boulders rolling around on the bottom. You bombed the floor on the raised platforms to get a shortcut from the second floor. Once you climbed up the shortcut and got knocked all the way back down again in the... 3rd? 4th? video by the things that were on fire).
You can go up to the room to the right on the fifth floor that way. It's another Skulltula and... a rupee (?) from memory, as you guessed.
Also, bonus points if you use Farore's Wind to speed things up in the Water Temple!
5 PM EST... which is 4 PM CST. I'll be there, and try to not be as retard as before. XD And also, After long delay, I am finally getting the first half of the first episode of TP up. I'm using Viemo for now because like ASimPerson, I can't log onto Google Uploader for some weird reasion.
I'm having problems with Google Uploader as well, I can log on and it appears they are uploading, but they don't show up on my video page. I'm re-uploading as we speak but if this doesn't work I'll cut it up and put it on blip.tv or something.
There's going to be a slight delay in my next update. I just finished my first take through the next 3 days, and audio seems to have lagged a bit. I guess 4 hours of video will do that. So what I'll do instead is break my recording up into one day chunks, process that video, and then start on the next. I'm sure I can manage that by just pausing the game.
So expect an update here within a few hours, and another at some point by this evening. The last should be ready by tomorrow morning.

Heh, 10AM NZDT. I'm awake and I'm in. It's too early to be awake on a Sunday though. =P
Going to try and see if my voice is really quiet on Skype again with my new hardware setup. If it still is, I'll just pretend to be someone's conscience.
Every time you kill a poor innocent bat, I will be there.
Sorry Valkun, but I'm going to have to cancel. One of my professors e-mailed me this morning and it turns out I've got a test Tuesday, which means I basically need to be studying the entire weekend. Sorry man, but I doubt I'll be missed anyway, especially with all the other guys you'll have.
Alas, Valkun, I shall not join thee, for I cannot guarantee my presence. Also I don't have Skype.
Meanwhile...
This week's LP shall be delayed somewhat due to family's friends hogging the Wii. I will get one up ASAP.
Which segways nicely into...
About how I play WW: do you want me to get on with the plot, or would you prefer I explore everything as they come up, regardless of plot significance? I ask because there's an island between Windfall and the next plot point, and I wonder whether I should explore it or not.

It all went quiet after Shady's attempt at doing the boss run in MM&B a day or two ago.
I wonder if the resulting anguish made them all pass out or something?

Is this for real? O_o
