Blargh, 7.5 hours and nothing to show for it. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently than before, but my past two videos have had dropped frames and the video running faster than the audio. It's a bit late now, so I'll have to figure something out in the morning. Sorry about the delay.
Masonite, I had a very similar problem with my LPs up until recently. I think my video was running longer, but the answer is the same. Get Audacity, and use it to force a new rate for the audio to make it longer or shorter as needed. If you'd like a more in-depth explanation, let me know and I'll PM you.
ASimPerson: whyever don't you forward-roll when traveling? It's much faster than just running everywhere. The lack of forward-rolling makes my thumb twitch on imaginary buttons trying to make it happen.
You fight Dark Link because to have true courage you have to face yourself or some bullshit like that.
But doesn't Link already have the Triforce of Courage? And if not, and he claims the Triforce of Courage afterwards, what happens to the Triforce of Power?

And how do grapefruits fit into all this?
The whole point of Zelda 2 is to unite the three triforces to cure Zelda...or something. Anyway, if we recall the plot of Zelda 1 (if we don't, whatever), Ganon had the triforce of power and attacked, Zelda for reasons passing understanding, splits the triforce of wisdom into 8 parts, each of which is conveniently hidden in a dungeon. Your job is to reunite the triforce of wisdom and then kill Ganon, who drops the triforce of power. The third triforce, courage remains unclaimed. Zelda 2 asks you to go get it. Anyway, the thing Valkun claims at the end is the triforce of courage, which then is mystically passed on by genetics or something to all the other Links. Unless we want to try to fit the timeline together, which really, no.

I've tried it but it doesn't seem that much faster to me, I guess. I dunno. It annoys me more than anything else.

The thing I like about Zelda II is that at the end of it, there is now a technical love triangle between Link, the original Zelda from whom the Legend was born, and the present-day Zelda that Link saved in Zelda I. So now he has to choose between either the current princess or her great^10 aunt. Oh, Zelda continuity. You are so insane.

If there is continuity at all, given that a Legend being told through the ages can take different adaptions, so they don't have to be connected at all.
I'm just using it while Google gets off their asses and fixes Google Video, hopefully this is the only episode on Blip.tv, and it will be moved to Gvideo anyway .

Not sure if it's just my end, but for some reason Part 3 isn't loading at all.

Looks like it still needs to be encoded into flash, so you might have to wait awhile. I'm splitting up the whole video into 2 parts to put on Google in hopes that will finally get it up there and it will be on a somewhat stable platform aswell
edit:Another thing people can try is to download the video directly off the site, I'm not sure if that will work, I'm doing it now.
So here is a 3-minute sample taken from my last video. I've switched to the Huffyuv codec over the DivX one from last time, so that's the only thing I'm doing differently. I can try messing with the configuration settings, but I'm beginning to lose my patience with this. If everything had run smoothly to begin with, I'd be up to Snowhead by now (I'm sure you can all imagine how fun it is replaying the same hour-and-a-half 5 or 6 times).

I can't figure this out. I just left DScaler to record for the past 50 minutes, and I just loaded it up on VirtualDub and everything is fine. I'm sure it's just saving up for when I finally decide to record again.
Alas, Valkun, I shall not join thee, for I cannot guarantee my presence. Also I don't have Skype.
Meanwhile...
This week's LP shall be delayed somewhat due to family's friends hogging the Wii. I will get one up ASAP.
Which segways nicely into...
About how I play WW: do you want me to get on with the plot, or would you prefer I explore everything as they come up, regardless of plot significance? I ask because there's an island between Windfall and the next plot point, and I wonder whether I should explore it or not.
Elaro,
I know I tear through Minish Cap like a Kleenex at a snot party (well, maybe not that quickly) so it's nice to see someone taking a game nice and slowly. I'm not sure that I would visit every island though, especially when the island doesn't have much plot or sidequest significance. WW has the potential to be an exceedingly long LP, and you don't want to get tired midway through and run out of stuff to say. I'd say you're moving at a decent pace. I'd maybe suggest going a bit faster, but that's mostly because I've played WW quite a few times and I know most of the dialogue already. For those who haven't played it through, it's worth going a bit more slowly, so you're doing fine.
Also, I appreciate any time my name is mentioned in an LP. It adds to my street cred.

This is the same set up I use. I use huffyuv because it's fast (and lossless) for the initial compression. I also don't record full frames, so my videos are recorded at 640x240. I then use VirtualDub to get it back to 640x480.
If you are using Google Video I demand to know how you got it working. I have uploaded my last video no less than 4 times and can not seem to get it to work.

I haven't tried yet, but that sample was only 3 minutes long. I had to upload it twice actually, the first time with the desktop utility. That was "successful," but nothing showed up under my account. So I tried the web utility and that seemed to work. So chances are it's just the desktop utility. Vimeo is my primary hosting site anyway.
I seem to be running into the same problem with the video running faster than the audio. Albeit by a few milliseconds, so it may be negligible.
edit: Alright, I know what I can do. Right now, I'm breaking my videos up into one day chunks, so what I can do instead is break it up further into day and night. That should fix, or at least avoid, the desynchronizing problem. I'll go ahead and put what I have up so you all won't have to wait even longer

At least you two can log into Google Video. Because the uploader refuses to let me log into it. Right pass and e-mail, and it says I am still unable to log in.
I'm getting the same problem, for what it's worth. The next Minish Cap video will be up tomorrow, even if I have to cut it up and throw it on Dailymotion.
I can't use Dailymotion as an alternative, I cut up my last episode into 20 minute chunks and they were still well over the 100mb size limit, and I don't think anyone wants 10+ 7 minute videos that it would require to get under that barbarian limit.
I seem to have missed the deadline over at Vimeo, and my next video exceeds my current weekly quota by 8 MB. So until Google starts working again, this will have to do. Sorry guys.

Okay, cool. I'll just play thoroughly, showing interesting things... I'll go to the Chuchu island later, then. And I'm not worried about running out of things to say. One merely needs to interrupt one's suspension of disbelief to find all sorts of things to talk about in a Zelda game.
Also, hey, I appreciate name-dropping as well. I liked it when Masonite did it, that was fun.

1. Shady3011 should do the Great Deku Tree in OoT: Master Quest.
2. Valkun should do the Great Deku Tree in OoT: Master Quest.
The Master Quest videos will likely be done once a week or so since only the dungeons will be shown.

How does that work, anyway? I was considering the possibilities, and I have no frickin' idea how to set it up.
