There were 2 Mario comics published in a collection of sorts that I'm aware of and the one I have is sort of a random assortment. It has stories like Peach becoming a bad-ass rocker chick or something and riding around on a flying carpet and..... actually that's the only story I remember. I should find that book.
To keep it slightly related to Zelda though, I always liked Ganon's fortress in the LttP comic. It was some floating orb base with lots of spikes/towers jutting out of it. Way cooler than being inside a pyramid.
I'm using Gamerstube because it has a nice large file size limit, and it seems to work pretty well and look nice. Make sure to change to view to original in order to have it in the normal aspect ratio. Next video and others will probably have guest commentators because I need them to tell me where to go and probably laugh at me. I have one friend lined up, he just needs to get his microphone in, and then someone else from PA has expressed interest in commentating. So we'll see what happens and I'll let people know and stuff. I guess.
That was indeed the first dungeon. You can tell which dungeon you're in by looking in the upper left corner at the level indicator. The number after it indicates the dungeon you're currently in. Also, you're a little too attached to that cat of yours.
I actually own the LttP comic. It has the Turtle Rock boss on the cover and Link is standing on a cliff. I found it in a used bookstore when I was like 5 and I knew I had to have it. I also picked up a Mario comic book as well.
I had this and some Mario comic. Those things were huge, and I lost them both.
Ironically, the Jump Attack is awful in Minish Cap, but the Spin Attack is pretty good. Eecc, I believe you were using the "Hurricane Spin" or something, which generally isn't very good. You'll find that its Minish Cap counterpart, however, is.
Nice job on the video though. And congratulations to Trus for completing LttP, too.
EDIT: Also, there's the proof that the TP Link is more awesome than LttP Link. LttP Link becomes a pink rabbit when he enters the Dark Realm. TP Link becomes a wolf when he enters the Twilight Realm.

Entertaining stuff. Good job. I can't wait to see what happens when you need to find the more obscure stuff.

Ah, thanks for the info. Yeah well I wouldn't have mentioned her if she wouldn't have jumped on my back. And then later I found out she threw up on my bed, so she's not allowed in here for awhile.

Thanks. Expect to see much floundering and possibly help from guest commentators. I don't mean possibly having guest commentators, I mean that it's a possibility that they'll actually help me instead of just heckling me.
Okay, seeing as I bought both Oracle games at launch (and don't regret it), I'd like to throw my hat in for Seasons and maybe Ages, since the guys who signed up to do them seem to have vanished... that cool with you guys? I can get a video up by tomorrow.

I know Shady is still here and he was signed up to do one of them, but I don't know what happened to the other guy. If you do end up doing one of them stick to just one of them so we can get another LP in here
You can take Oracles as well. I think one Zelda game is more than enough for me. Plus, it'll be a lot smother in terms of a LP since you'll be the one running the show.
Also in this episode (part 2) : Jump attack vs spin attack - an investigation into the effectiveness of both using the power of science!
Which is better? Two attacks enter, one attack leaves!
well, your jokes almost never raise a smile from me, but when you were trapped with that giant cannon-bomb thing, that was hilarious
But... they're bad jokes! They're not funny by design. Also, I would've gotten away with it too on that big bomb stage had that Link not caught on fire. =/ You could just see it not ending well.

Your bad jokes usually get at least a chuckle out of me. Also I burst out laughing at "Ahh! GAY!"
fair enough, i'll see how well the seasons videos go down first, though.
Let's Play: Oracle of Seasons
Twisting nature and altering the seasons, Link faces his most mind-bending quest yet...
Episode 1 (test video)-
Sounds are way off.
I hadn't noticed.
I'm toying with VirtualDub and Wavosaur to get the sound to not suck, and it's working pretty well. Then I'll redo the whole subtitle thing to make them clear to read.

It's apparent that I haven't played this game in too long. Who is that guy on the far right with the odd pointy helmet? I can't imagine it's the villain, since he's smiling so profusely.

Isn't that Din? The dancer? Looks sorta like her from that cutscene where Link and her are dancing.

No, I think he is the villain. Just looked the name up, he's General Onox.
yeah, I always thought it was bizarre that General Onox was supposed to look like something out of Rayman, instead of an armor-clad behemoth... he's a lot more intimidating in sprite form.
Better test video. I think this one's at least watchable, but I'm not satisfied.
Sorry about the sluggish updating of the first post lately. With mid terms, papers, and job interviews all going on this week, it's been a bit hectic. I'm still trying to catch up on your videos.
The next Master Quest segment should be up this weekend.
Jesus, the OoT water temple video is painful. That goddamn dungeon truly tests a man's sanity and self control.
I completed it when I was 11 years old and I'm sure it reflects my disposition today. I'm thinking about that one key right now and I can barely contain my rage.
Yeah. The thing is, I'm mainly doing this because nobody else was, and I really liked the Oracle games. Honestly, if you'd take over one of the games, it'd be great- not having a microphone to hand makes things kinda laborious with the putting in the subtitles... and then there's the whole resampling thing which is just a pain in the arse.
I'm going to put in some appropriate music instead of trying to get the GBC audio synced up for the dungeon. It's easier, and will probably come out better with my cunning plan.
This is basically just me getting that dungeon item, so consider it an item collection video, especially considering I just put in a song instead of me blathering on for five or so minutes.
But damnit, why the hell is the item in the second dungeon the magical boomerang, when you just got the regular boomerang in the first dungeon? I don't get it! Also, fuck that room.

To answer your "am I doing this in order" question: there's a display up at the top that says "Level X" when you're in a dungeon, where X is the number of the dungeon in order. You may already have figured this out, but all I've seen is the first video thus far. I look forward to the rest of your quest!

My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
Yeah, I cut some boring sailing out of there. Are you guys okay with that? Do you want me to keep all of the footage, even if it's boring? I'd like some feedback. I was thinking of doing a sailing montage later, but maybe I should keep it in context?
Also, the commentary: sometimes it seems like what I say is too... goofy? Stupid? Is it annoying, or funny? Should I tone it down?

It's up to you about the sailing, if it's just straight line boringness then sure, cut it, but some of the other stuff (enemies, slalom courses etc) is pretty interesting.
As for the commentary...
No.
It's pretty funny, and you have a silly accent, which makes everything better. Personally, it was just the character voices that made me cringe, and you toned that down about right. :P

Edit: Link and the Giant Turnip is now uploading.
Ooh, yeah... Umm... Right. Well, this video contains silly voices. (Though I believe I nailed the mapfish pretty well.) Sorry.

Hey, in Ocarina of Time, I usually do the Spirit Temple before the Shadow Temple. Because it scared me out of my wits when I was younger.
to be honest, I can't really complain about the voices in this one, it was really just your pirate voice that was shite
and i agree wholeheartedly with you about the Shadow Temple, it was really fucking scary when I was a kid. Didn't help that all my friends were talking about how it was the hardest temple (and it is, it's just not as frustrating as the Water Temple) and that its main gimmick involved lots of lens'o'truthing and mindfuckery. When I actually did it, though, it was both tough and fun, which puts it high above the Water Temple in my book...

Wait, what? The pink bunny Link was badass!
And he didn't have to hunt annoying little bugs.

Awesome job, man. I like to think I helped out in at least some small way.

also, awesome use of the jump attack. if only you could do that in link's awakening, it would be the best game of all time.
Player tips would be greatly appreciated! Especially for the one part where...well you'll see.
