There were 2 Mario comics published in a collection of sorts that I'm aware of and the one I have is sort of a random assortment. It has stories like Peach becoming a bad-ass rocker chick or something and riding around on a flying carpet and..... actually that's the only story I remember. I should find that book.

To keep it slightly related to Zelda though, I always liked Ganon's fortress in the LttP comic. It was some floating orb base with lots of spikes/towers jutting out of it. Way cooler than being inside a pyramid.

    So hey, that was fast.

The Legend of Zelda: Part 1

I'm using Gamerstube because it has a nice large file size limit, and it seems to work pretty well and look nice. Make sure to change to view to original in order to have it in the normal aspect ratio. Next video and others will probably have guest commentators because I need them to tell me where to go and probably laugh at me. I have one friend lined up, he just needs to get his microphone in, and then someone else from PA has expressed interest in commentating. So we'll see what happens and I'll let people know and stuff. I guess.

That was indeed the first dungeon. You can tell which dungeon you're in by looking in the upper left corner at the level indicator. The number after it indicates the dungeon you're currently in. Also, you're a little too attached to that cat of yours.

I actually own the LttP comic. It has the Turtle Rock boss on the cover and Link is standing on a cliff. I found it in a used bookstore when I was like 5 and I knew I had to have it. I also picked up a Mario comic book as well.

I had this and some Mario comic. Those things were huge, and I lost them both.

Ironically, the Jump Attack is awful in Minish Cap, but the Spin Attack is pretty good. Eecc, I believe you were using the "Hurricane Spin" or something, which generally isn't very good. You'll find that its Minish Cap counterpart, however, is.

Nice job on the video though. And congratulations to Trus for completing LttP, too.

EDIT: Also, there's the proof that the TP Link is more awesome than LttP Link. LttP Link becomes a pink rabbit when he enters the Dark Realm. TP Link becomes a wolf when he enters the Twilight Realm.

yeah, I always thought it was bizarre that General Onox was supposed to look like something out of Rayman, instead of an armor-clad behemoth... he's a lot more intimidating in sprite form.

Yeah. The thing is, I'm mainly doing this because nobody else was, and I really liked the Oracle games. Honestly, if you'd take over one of the games, it'd be great- not having a microphone to hand makes things kinda laborious with the putting in the subtitles... and then there's the whole resampling thing which is just a pain in the arse.

I'm going to put in some appropriate music instead of trying to get the GBC audio synced up for the dungeon. It's easier, and will probably come out better with my cunning plan.

This is basically just me getting that dungeon item, so consider it an item collection video, especially considering I just put in a song instead of me blathering on for five or so minutes.
But damnit, why the hell is the item in the second dungeon the magical boomerang, when you just got the regular boomerang in the first dungeon? I don't get it! Also, fuck that room.

To answer your "am I doing this in order" question: there's a display up at the top that says "Level X" when you're in a dungeon, where X is the number of the dungeon in order. You may already have figured this out, but all I've seen is the first video thus far. I look forward to the rest of your quest!

Yeah, I cut some boring sailing out of there. Are you guys okay with that? Do you want me to keep all of the footage, even if it's boring? I'd like some feedback. I was thinking of doing a sailing montage later, but maybe I should keep it in context?

It's up to you about the sailing, if it's just straight line boringness then sure, cut it, but some of the other stuff (enemies, slalom courses etc) is pretty interesting.

    As for the commentary...

    No.

to be honest, I can't really complain about the voices in this one, it was really just your pirate voice that was shite D:

and i agree wholeheartedly with you about the Shadow Temple, it was really fucking scary when I was a kid. Didn't help that all my friends were talking about how it was the hardest temple (and it is, it's just not as frustrating as the Water Temple) and that its main gimmick involved lots of lens'o'truthing and mindfuckery. When I actually did it, though, it was both tough and fun, which puts it high above the Water Temple in my book...
