How do I view a newsgroup? I can't seem to find an explanation online... Can anybody help me?

news:/rec.games.design

I open those up in Opera but there's nothing there, I don't know if they're dead or I'm just doing something wrong...

    You need to configure Opera to use your ISP's Usenet servers. Also, they still have two slashes.

    Also, if you use a standalone reader for your mail (like Thunderbird) it probably makes a better news client. Again, chances are your ISP has a free Usenet server available. If not, you may be able to use Google groups.

    I've been using Forte Agent for years to read newsgroups. Just configure it to use your ISP's Usenet server.

    You could also try Google Groups if need be.
