If you start an SSE game as two-player, do you have to play through the entire game in two-player mode, even if you save and quit and resume later? Or is it more of a Super Mario World system where the game's state is preserved without any information about whether it was a one- or two-player run?

The other player can join in at any time, and can drop out between stages.
Also the game is ballanced by giving you a limited number of extra lives/back-up characters in your party. When you bring in a second player to help, you have to split that number between yourselves.

So make sure your partner isn't too shitty, eh? Old school life stealing is back in action.
I just noticed this from watching some videos: When Pokéballs appear they make the same souns as they do when they land on the ground after being thrown in the Pokémon games.
Guys, the network security at my college prevents my Wii from accessing the interbutts. Aside from trying to connect to the router and entering the password to connect to it, I don't know what I can do to get it to work. I have a feeling it is resulting from the fact that the school requires all computers connecting to the network to get MacAffee virus software, which is quite impossible to install on the Wii. Is there any way for me to make this work? Will buying a dongle and connecting to that point bypass it? The IT department isn't very helpful, and I'm sure they would be even less helpful considering my problem is video game related.
We have a similar situation at my College. I use a Wifi dongle and I can connect just fine as long as I'm signed in to the network security on the computer.
get the school to register your mac address. that's what i had to do to get my wii working at school.
Very late, but how do I do this? How do I know what the address is? I want to have all the information I can when I e-mail them so it doesn't take years.
So I've been wonder. Why is Lucario in the game? Was he in some movie or something that makes him more important then Mewtwo or whatever?
He was in a movie, and he's apparently become very popular in Japan.
That, and they likely wanted a Pokemon out of the Red/Blue/Yellow generation.
Also I think I remember hearing that he was one of (if not the very) first pokemon from the fourth gen to be revealed in japan and so he sort of became like a representative of the D/P gen.

Yes, apart from Piplup, Manaphy and Cresselia only the token D/P Pokemon that were announced way before the rest (like Togepi during the first gen) are in Brawl. Sakurai sadly never looked beyond that first announced batch (apart from the 3 mentioned).

Hey, I don't post/read here normally. I have a friend however that does.
He tried to argue that now in brawl Goldeen has a super attack at some ridiculous %. The same exact attack some people claim he had in melee. Can you all please debunk this for him. He refuses to listen to reason.
When I was a little I really, really wanted Scyther to be playable in Smash Brothers. Oh youthful naivete.
Anyway, here's probably a stupid question, but how fast does Diddy Kong move while holding barrels? I assume very slow since he's small, but I'm playing through DKC2 on VC and that fucker cruises with those things in his hands. Just curious. If he's slow like I assume, does he at least still have a similar animation?

The latest rumor is that if Goldeen somehow ends up in some body of water, it'll evolve into a Seaking, and KO someone.

I'll spoiler some examples:
Kirby against Petey (Mario is knocked of the arena)
Lucas fleeing from the Pokey Statue
Marth defending his castle

They double up the characters, with different color schemes.
For example, I saw two Marios doubleteaming a Kirby. Now that's just mean.
It sounds like Kenpachi from Bleach. ESPECIALLY the "Weaklings... the bunch of you." line.
I'm like 99% sure thats him.

Wouldn't surprise me, since many less-than-big name voice actors tend to specialize in video games and anime equally.
Snake's codecs are pretty cool but after the dojo update, I figured they were all going to be jokes instead of mostly informative.

Oh man Falcon Punch has nothing on Snake Punch
I never asked for this!
...Dammit, now I have the thought of "Snaaaaku....PUUUUUUNCH!" stuck in my head.
And then he punches his opponent so hard the universe blows up.

Not confirmed, and most likely a bunch of crap.
