The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Seriously though, I'm not freely giving out my fingerprints. You want my prints you can try charging me with a crime first, because that's the way it works. You don't collect my finger-prints first then use them to arrange to charge me with a crime. That's broken.
Many people think otherwise. And no, sadly I'm not just talking about politicians.
Fear-mongering is not in vain.
Indeed. The only viable application for this policy is the one I suggested. Which would be a great way to feed the fear machine, you could periodically "catch terrorists" and let everyone think it's working.

Isn't that what happens now?
Also: What is the criteria for locking the chat thread? Is it after hours of searching for the right 'close' comic?

Elki is actually going through the entire archives of the comic chronologically when he locks a thread. And I think at this point he just does it when he feels the length is about to get out of hand.

I wonder how long this will continue if w keep quoting each other like this. W could probly reach 40 pages in mere hours.
Also: Chronological order? That's boring. I think we should have a vote. And then he can lock a thread with a comic that wasn't even on the ballout. Just like in real life.

Pfft. I've been doing it since I got modded; I'm not changing for it for a stupid reason like democracy.
So it's pretty snowy this morning. I got about 100 feet from my house, the road curved to the right, and I did not. I almost drove right into someone's house. Only thing that stopped me was the step up in the side walk that led up to their front door.
I would love to study in Japan however. It just seems that awesome. Plus I already have somewhat of the Otaku culture, so it not really a distraction for me.

He doesn’t have somewhat of the Otaku culture; he’s the incarnation of otaku.

We'll see when we get there.
I'm still in 2001, so I think we're safe for a while.
This poll makes no sense to me.
No invite for me.
