Tycho raised an interesting point in his last news post, about MMORPGs being accepted by the XBox community. Personally, I see the lack of MMORPGs on the XBox as one of its biggest failings, and would am eager to try Champions, even to the point of buying a USB keyboard or keyboard peripheral to participate.
However, I am curious as to whether the community at large would be interested in seeing more XBox, or even console, MMORPGs.
I for one would prefer not to play any MMO's on my 360. I've gotten the red ring 3 times already, I'm almost afraid to turn it on anymore. That plus the live fee, plus whatever monthly an MMO would charge is a no thank you for me.
Though, I'm not gun shy at all about paying the MMO fee for the computer version.
Plus, with updates and patches and all that, I don't think that we'll be seeing a new MMO for 360. I don't think MS wants games that require anything more than a Core system, I don't know if that's the case anymore. That's why no HDDVD games and games bigger than an MS memory card.
Does FFXI require the harddrive and is it USB keyboard/mouse compat?(I'm actually asking, too lazy to look it up)
I like the idea of Champions... though I'm still wary about an MMO. Fees and all that being an issue. I don't mind paying for Gold, but paying $15 extra would be annoying. But superheroes!
Plus, voice-chat being a given is really nice. That would make things a lot nicer in pick-up groups. Also a lot worse sometimes but hey.
Very excited about Champions which I have many fond memories of playing on the table-top and I can't wait to see where Cryptic can take what they started in CoX now.
I tried Phantasy Star Universe but it was a little confusing. Going to go back when I have more time though.
I'm wondering about size... i mean, for a real MMO can that fit on a disc? and then the expected updates and patches? just checked my WoW folder and thats fast approaching 10gb for almost bare-bones...
I've had all the fun i can have doing 25 man raids in WoW and now i'd like to play something new.
If they can nail the controls on Conan i'll give it a shot on the 360. I think it would be really nice to be able to sit back on the couch with a MMO, and the head-set would work well since a lot of people would have it.

how am I supposed to bot and farm gold without being able to run more than one process at a time?
Paperplate hit the nail on the head. A light MMO with GoW style game play set in a zombie over run world. PVP style np, you can pick either human or zombie. If you are a zombie and you get killed the human player can revive you and make you human again with some holy water or something. If you are a human and a zombie eats your brain you become a zombie in turn. That would be hot.
The Agency is planned for 360 along with PS3, right?
Thats MMOish.
That's a Sony game. I wish it were a multiplatform game though. It may be one of the games that pushes me to get a PS3 when they drop in price.
It's coming to PC if that helps.
Didn't Sony's online licenses get sold off to another company through? I thought I heard something about that.
EDIT: I may get criticized for this one, but I really do think an isometric adventure RPGish MMO ala the old Graal or Ragnarok could do quite well on a console.

Also you can play it even if you don't pay for a Gold account
You still have to pay the monthly fee though

Final Fantasy XI -> Carbuncle - Samash
Thread over imo...
League of Legends (your friendly neighborhood support): PAPRPL8
Of course, the punishments for character death would be harsh... maybe some sort of PvP aspect?
I'm looking forward to Champions. If ever there was an MMO whose style of play could be easily transfered to a console it would be City of Heroes.
