Abomasnow, at least round these parts, seems to be a pretty good competitive pokemon if you train it right. However, it seems like it has a bunch of weaknesses, being Ice/Grass. It's stats don't seem overly impressive. Is it's moveset good, am I underestimating its stats, or..? Why does it dominate at times?
Second question: Metagross appears to be superior in almost every way to Bronzong. Am I correct?
Edit: seriously fuck Chanseys in the Battle Tower who use Double Team over and over again. It took Starmie like 12 turns to kill it. Luckily it couldn't do any (well, much) damage.

Never used Abomasnow.
Metagross has a weird movepool, and is a physical attacker with good defence. Bronzong can go either way, and can wall physical or special moves depending on how it's trained. Heatproof and Levitate both cancel one of Bronzong's weaknesses, but Metagross can't have its stats lowered.
Fuck Chansey/Blissey in the main. My Lucario easily deals with either in the Battle Tower, though. AURA SPHERE, BITCHES. It works. (Auto hit, fighting move, but it's special, which Chansey/Blissey eat for breakfast.) You're better off using something with say, Aerial Ace.
Yeah, Bronzong has an important immunity and it can focus entirely on being defensive while it would be a crime to ignore Metagross's Atk stat. So they're good for different things.
For Abomasnow it mostly just it's ability. I've faced at least one Hail team, and it's quite annoying. It also has the 100% accuracy Blizzard and Leech Seed with Hail is again, very annoying.
I have to EV train, make a Battle Tower run (or two) and then finally figure out who exactly will be my tournament team.
I realize that no is probably up at these hours of the night/morning ... but if anyone is .... Battle?

Whoo, almost done at last. Lost some sleep due to the Hax Tower for an undisclosed item, but I easily slaughtered Palmer now that I give my Leafeon the Choice Scarf. His evil Milotic shall never outrun Leafeon again.
Just gotta get a TM or two, evolve one of the newcomers, and gt two Heart Scales. Then, I shall be ready for a test.
If they don't need to be re-bred and you already have enough berries to wipe the current EVs, this shouldn't be impossible. EV training doesn't take too long, but you don't exactly have any time to figure out if you need it, at this point.
Gimme... oh god. About FOUR HOURS before I get home, then I can battle.
I want to figure out if I need to re-EV train two of my tournament Pokémon before the actual tournament.

Well, yes, but I find it's a good idea to have your team ready by the time it begins, rather than waiting until halfway through the day of the tournament and then not finding time to actually battle.
Also I'm at work right now, and thus cannot battle.
Argh, why do the Curselaxes only show up in the Battle Tower when I'm trying to hurry through a few rounds?! I can kill them, sure, but it takes several extra turns.. and I've got two TMs and an item I'd like to get out of there. Like, for the tournament. Maybe I can get away without the item.
At least I'm done with training otherwise. This week was so bad, I almost didn't get even that part done in time.
You can probably find something with less weaknesses than Aggron. 4x weakness to ground is not very good considering it is one of the most common attack types.
Oh hey, turns out one of the TMs I needed I can transfer over from my old Ruby cart instead of having to grind the battle tower extra. That's very helpful, as it means a few less turns of Haxtower before I can declare my team ready to beat down. Or be beaten down, as I've yet to battle with the entire assembled team.
Tournament starts tomorrow, meaning my midnight (in 8 hours). I'll draw the matches up a few hours before that and people can maybe get a headstart. I'm not feeling all too well, so I hope I can manage midnight. A nap may help.
I fought exceptionally poorly there, my prediction skills have left me again - I don't have enough experience with stuff like Focus Punch. I take it that it just goes last, no matter what your speed, and goes off if you don't take a hit?
I had nothing that could deal with your Muk once I sucked that Focus Punch.
My entire team are newbies, apart from my Focus Punch Sucker. I just have to use that guy. I just have to. o_o

Yep basically. It sets up first and if it takes a hit it flinches and the attack fails. That's why Substitute is there to protect Muk from taking that hit.
I got really lucky switching Muk in on that Toxic. I can never predict Toxic.

I'll fight you with this newbie team RockinX.
I think I need a lot more practice with this team, basically. That was the... third fight I've had with them. (And the first loss.)
I still don't get the nuances of some of the moves, as evidenced by my cluelessness with Focus Punch earlier.
How's Leech Seed pass on to other Pokémon? If I seed something, then switch out, I -think- my new fighter gets the Seed benefit if the seeded pokémon stays in, right?
Also, weather moves. If you use a weather move, while the same weather's still in play, does it fail, or renew the counter for when the weather runs out?
I believe thats a new feature in D/P. Leech Seed doesn't Leech if theres no one there to take the HP. Totally saved my ass and let me run on a rampage. That was pretty cool.

I go to bed early last night because I'd had a total of 5 hours of sleep the past few days and everyone's in a battling mood.
I hate you guys.

Wait what? I thought the Tournament was tomorrow?
Also, battaru?

My team thus far is as follows:
Charizard
Aggron
Tangrowth
Munchlax
Starmie
Pinsir
EDIT: My one remaining 400% is my charizard, who would be crushed by rock
EDIT2: Would a Shuckle be a good defense/sp def type of guy?
Sorry, was watching Cowboy Bebop. Still up for battaru?

Also yeah, on my way online. I need to get an item before the tournament tomorrow, too. Nnngh! (And make some custom capsule thingers.)

Awesome fight Kay. 2 of my 3 newbies worked out really well that fight. Muk is fantastic once again.

I also forgot to give my Poké its other item and it's biting me in the ass.
