Reverted back to my old sig and avatar, since Lucario isn't as badass in Brawl as I expected. His Smash attacks are slow as tar and he doesn't have a spike. Plus, these were just better.

I could probably help you out with the Impish Slack Offing Hippopotas and the Adamant Piplup, which would also have either Yawn and Stealth Rock or Rest and Sleep Talk.
You know, Sandstorm teams are a bit too common these days, as are Rain Dance to a lesser degree. I'm tempted to make a Sunny Day one just to screw with people.
Status Report: Halfway through the EVs for Mah Bukkit and Gawain, the only thing that's gonna take a bit longer is leveling them up to evolve and learn a move, respectively.

You'll want a male meowth, but its nature doesn't matter unless you want to use exactly that poké. Only females with everstone have a chance of passing down their nature to offsprings.

I'm just glad its not my fault. I had to Upgrade to AVG 8.0 (anti-virus and firewall). I had problems and I think I lost the Firewall settings I used to have. But I battled with my pearl version just fine and then traded with Jugs, so I think it's just Nintendo. But now Jugs and I can't battle.
Thats a tough team Jugs. I managed to get some suprises and criticals the first time, but I wasn't so lucky the second time. Good games.

pearl vs. diamond, do certain starting pokemanz have an advantage? it's harder to tell than it was with ruby / sapphire since you can kinda associate those colors with the starters
Every Pokémon has their own strengths and weaknesses Gunstar, but there's no real advantage for one starter over another. All 3 of them are great Pokémon, but you might want to choose Chimchar because it and Ponyta are the only Fire types you can get without trading early in the game.
Oh, but you're asking whether you should get Diamond or Pearl? Here's a list of version exclusives but you can trade for everything you could want, assuming you have WiFi. Less people have Pearl, so that might put you in a better position to trade with others, but that doesn't matter around here.
Also, I had meant to suggest "Pokemon: Killed in a Brawl" for thread title a day or two ago, but I like this new one.

Finally, I still have my old hail team. I keep thinking of new ways to tweak it, but frankly hail teams by nature are stall based teams, and I find its kind of a boring way to fight overall. Not to say you won't see any more ice Pokemon from me, though.
I listened to the Retronauts podcast on Pokemon today and it really made me want to get back into this shit. As soon as school is over I'm going to start breeding again.
What's the right way to use someone with Choice Specs in your party? It seems like after they kill the first enemy poke you're screwed because you can't use any different attack. Am I missing something?

don't use it in cpu battles, because you don't need it
the idea is to basically make one move powerful enough to sweep anything that is neutral or weak to it
if they bring out something that resists it, you switch
