Man I totally remember around the time I was coming out of the closet to all of my friends, I had the hugest thing for him.

Now as I am older, I think I still would hit that hard.

i don't know what new industrial bands are like, maybe it's just kind of evolved into some of the IDM stuff, but in my day it was all about Front 242, laibach, FLA and the whole Jourgensen / Connelly clan.

have i told you guys about the time i got to meet al jourgensen and paul barker backstage and they signed a real skull from their psalm 69 tour and i have it in my possession and oh man it is so awesome

i swear to god, if i see stabbing westward up in here i will aggro

the cool thing about industrial music, especially in the 90's was that all these bands did collaboration stuff together, i mean beyond the whole chicago scene, although it was big, you had all this crazy talent working on different things and i remember being a teenager completely in love with the whole scene

Oh man, I am hearting somebody so hard right now for making this thread.

Can we talk about how shitty it is living in the US when so many great industrial acts are touring all over Europe and how they wont even travel to this country (America)? 'Cus fuck, I want to see Suicide Commando.

Edit: I can't really think of any other industrial acts who refuse to come to the US, but my point mostly still stands. The part about Suicide Commando.

Haha. I have a Sister Machine Gun album somewhere. The one with something about a metal sky. I don't know.
I ran into Raymond Watts and Martin Atkins in a bar in Chicago five or so years ago, and Raymond was a dick and a half. Martin was really nice though.

Anyone who wants to see Ministry here in NYC in May pm me.

I mean, it's the fucking final tour and I'm going no matter what, but I'm not sure I know anyone else who willing to pay fifty bucks for it.

Also Beers Steers and Queers is such an awesome song

    Front 242 are great yes

It took me a really, really long time to write my post because there was a kitty in my lap so :P

Also yes more love for Pigface

They are so awesome live... the first time I saw them though it was literally like the day before Thanksgiving on a Tuesday or something so there were more people on stage than there were in the audience. Also En Esch was there with them; I'm freakishly tall and so apparently I literally stood out from the rest of the 'crowd' so he was mainly staring at me when he wasn't otherwise engaged.

En Esch staring at you is a disturbing experience, I do not recommend it

They're playing here three shows here. May 8th, 9th, and 10th.

I have a ticket to the show on the 9th. I'm considering getting one for the 10th too.

Sister Machine Gun's newest album "Influence" is good. Very danceable, I like it a lot.

edit: Okay. Just got a ticket for the 10th too. Ministry on back to back nights is going to be awesome.

Paul Barker's new band U.S.S.A isn't that good.

They opened for Chemlab last year. At first, it was cool to watch him play, and then I started paying attention to the rest of the band. Leader singer had a shitty voice, was drunk off his ass, and was acting like a retard, and the songs were boring as fuck.

Chemlab, however, was god damn fuck awesome.

U.S.S.A. is much more overtly in Duane Denison's style but not his strongest work either.

I am waiting til payday to get the 75 dollar one, but I "got" the five buck one off of some torrent site for now.

I am listening to it right now and so far it is very relaxing. I am enjoying it a bit.
