When I'm speaking to Indian people and they don't want to speak Hindi or Telugu or Tamil or whatever I just speak English at them the way I did in India. With an Indian accent.

My friend is black and whenever he is talking to most people he speaks like a white person but if he's talking to another black person he switches into gangsta speak.

My mom does this. When she's with family or talking to an islander she gets this caribbean islander accent going on. Then when she's talking to everyone else it's her normal accent.

sometimes people think i'm from funny places i've never been to in my life. I think my jaw position is messed up or something.

P.S. There totally is a northwest accent. we drop the ends of our words. It's like we're too lazy to finish them, each and every one.

I pronounce bury the way it looks and not "berry" like everyone else around here

and "been" more like "ben" instead of "bin"

other than that I have a non-discernible american accent

I can switch and assimilate into any accent that currently surrounds me. It's kinda weird.

But really I was in Oxford for three weeks and by the second week no one could tell I didn't usually talk with a British accent.

I am also a pro at HongKongnese, Singlish, and Chinglish.

Oh man Singlish is a league of its own.

It's probably due to growing up bilingual

I, on the other hand, pick up and speak other languages pretty easily but when I'm speaking english I can't put on any other accent
