    I just got a eee about about a month ago, and god damn do I wish I had this thing before my last semester in college.

    Only thing is, I know absolutely nothing about linux, so I'm still running the proprietary OS.

    I feel the need to remedy this.

    There's a custom version of xubuntu being developed, but retooling the default xandros install is probably a good way to get your feet wet.

    Ubuntu is pretty easy to get used to if you're coming from a Windows OS. Does Xubuntu work well on it? Seems like it might be better suited to a low spec machine (since it's a version of Ubuntu geared toward low spec machines, that is).

    Also I have to keep a single avatar for a while or something so hopefully I can get in on the next SE++ image collage.
