Drag the horizontal bar to the left to decrease volume. You want it less than 0.4 on the scale at all times, most likely.
Yeah, that's what I did, but I had to go below 0.1 and I'm still worried it might be a little loud. O_o

Also, you have the VU Meter in which you want to watch (The Green to Red bar). Mid yellow/End of Green is ideal, anything pass this will be too many dB's and ruin the quality over the Mic. I.e. Loud bass, treble, etc. In the Equalizer as well, if you feel the bass is too much, lower the 60Hz,150Hz,400Hz bar along with the Master dB's. Since Gold Wave has a play function within the equalizer, fiddle around until it sounds near perfect on your computers max volume.

Well, I'm using a wireless USB adapter, but my router is two feet away through a wall. I have an "excellent" connection (Windows' term). Like I said, it just started and only happens in TF2.
Is it a constant 700+ or does it spike up there? There's a phone in my house that interferes with my wireless and whenever someone is on it my ping shoots up that high, but since you say it's only TF2, it kind of rules that out. Id search more if I could atm but I"m at work, but I would look into firewall/port settings for TF2/Steam. I'll see if I can help more later.

Had about a 350 ping throughout almost the entire match, and I was playing as Pyro. I guess I can sort of see what people are saying about it being hard but at some points during the match it was really really easy.
Like I'd jump down to destroy a sentry and one second it would be shooting me and Im not even really pointing at it and suddenly it's blown up and I have points
I'm making a stupid map and it had better turn out good. Going for a gravelpit style map (A&C then C) where the first CP is above the 2nd. Or is that the 2nd is above the 1st. There's a floor between them, but it's possible to rocket/sticky jump up between the two or just drop down through some holes.
I can only pray it gets done and is fun.
EDIT: If this idea falls flat, I should change it up so the CP on the bottom is a vertical mirror of the CP on the top.

That might have been me. I remember I was trying to line up a shot on a Heavy while getting struck by occasional stray minigun bullets and thinking to myself, "Huh, that's doing more damage than stray bullets should" and turn around to find some poor Spy weeping at his ineffectual knife.

I shot a soldier and took him down instantly with the shotgun, there was no way he could have responded in time
although at some points I saw a soldier and then suddenly I was dead, didn't even see the rockets coming
