I'm just waiting for the official announcement that the A's are indeed a minor league team and were only placed on the MLB schedule due to a error in Bud Selig's office.

What the fuck Giants. Tim Lincecum has had 5 starts and a 1.38 ERA against the Padres. He's 1-1
I hope he's at least still 1-1 after tomorrow.
You think Timmay is pissed? What about Cain? They showed a stat the other day - Cain has 12 starts in the last 2 years where he went 7+ innings and allowed 2 runs or less... 2 runs or less in 7+... what do you think his record in those 12 games should be? ..... 10-2?
nope
0-12 ...
ZERO and fucking 12...
including a complete game LOSS where he only gave up 1 run...

I suppose its karma for getting rich off the work of BALCO...
But dammit it sucks to be a Giants fan. I was down there on opening weekend, and they had all these banners along the Embacadero with players and little slogans on them.
Timmy - forget the slogan
Aaron Rowand - forget the slogan
and
Bengie fucking Molina - "stands in front of freight trains"

Wait, is someone complaining about their ball club here?
Because the Mariners have the worst record in the AL (that's right the whole thing), and only one other team in the entirety of baseball has a worse record (sorry Washington).

As good at what? Pudge is certainly a much better fielder than Manny. Pudge plays arguably the hardest everyday position in the field. And he's been to 14 all star games and won 13 gold gloves. So yeah, just cause Manny is a power hitter doesn't mean he's automatically better. Especially when he acts the way he did in Boston.
well, of guys who played the majority of their careers in the last 40 years, manny is 4th among right-handers in ops+
pujols - 168
mcgwire - 162
frank thomas - 157
manny - 154
pujols could be the best right-handed hitter ever, but he still has too much time left to play to declare that yet
mcgwire can get thrown out for obvious reasons
thomas has been great, but he is declining extremely rapidly, much more so than manny
then there's arod, who has a ops+ of 148, i guess he's in the conversation as well
yea, but i didn't count them because they both peaked and played most of their careers before then
eh, I don't think Hank peaked before 1968.
he hit 44 HR in 1969 (and hit .300)
and 47 HR in 1971 (and .327)
Bobby Bonds was also a pretty F'in good righty, just didn't have the length of career to hit as many HRs (332) he did steal 461 bases tho..
you're right 71 was his best year stats wise
but again, he was 34 in 1968 so he still played most of his career before that
bobby bonds was great, but i was really just considering hitting and i don't think he's on the same level as those other guys when you look only at hitting

I liked the idea a lot, I just couldn't believe bengie molina was on there.
Its not hard to stand in front of a "freight train" when you are one...

I know, I should be used to it.
manny's much better than pudge or texiera
please tell me this is a joke
pudge has been a great player, but he is not on the same level as manny, i don't care how good his defense is
