Anyway, here is a portrait I took a while ago. This was before I learned how to bracket, and given that, was fairly happy with the exposure. It was really hard to get any detail in her face while not completely blowing out the sky. This is with a PowerShot SD850 IS.
edit: this first one looks really off for some reason (as in it doesn't look quite like this in non-photobucketed form)
edit2: actually...I think this looks worse.
Nareg, I like that second picture a lot. Very nice all around. The third one kinda bugs me. The...ah...thing in the center is framed properly, but the windows aren't. It really throws me off.
Fire Fox, I like that second one a lot more. The first one was killing me for the same reason Sheri mentioned.
You guys get an old photo until I get back from Tampa.
anable: Rad shot. I think I would have prefered to see a little bit more of her face, but other than that I'm really enjoying it. The sand in the bottom is so smooth, I just want to run around and make it look ugly.
You know what I think? I think the shot should be twice as wide. What do you think of that? Huh? Huh?
Honestly, she's just a distraction from all that beautiful sand.
Altman you have scarred me for life with your demon of babies. I will have no children now thanks to you.
Nareg: I love that last shot, fantastic composition... however (DUN DUN DUN) maybe crop out that little horizontal stone ledgey thing that's barely in the shot at the very top.
Bit late, but love that violin shot from the last thread Fahrenheit. I finally tried developing some film myself, it supposedly expired in 2004, but seemed to work okay-ish.
I love the third shot, KillerCar, and the others are decent as well. That third, though... that's special. Extremely dramatic.
Edit: salti, that looks too staged to me. I mean, oviously it is, but it looks too "oh shits, the art class project is due tomorrow? quick, think of a non sequitor!" :P
This is a shot I captured out of pure luck. It obviously isn't perfect but I had about 10 seconds to get ready to capture a 15 second exposure. In this photo there are 3 people having a roman candle fight. Just thought I would share.

Killercar the third shot is great. I'm so jealous of people who have clouds, there's never any clouds where I live, extremely bright sunshine and boring blue sky day after day, it sounds nice but it sucks when you want to take phtots.
Sheri - The second captured a good expression - I like it. Needs at least three times the amount of knives it has currently though. First doesn't do anything for me.

Exactly. See how rebellious I am?

The sticks are really, really, really ruining it for me. I wish you'd just pushed/held them out of the way for the shot.
Long, the first one is just way too blurry and noisy for my taste. Sorry.

Nareg, I like the last one. It's kinda cool. The colors are a little boring.
Ok here's one I took in 2006. Can you tell what I photoshopped?

I hear you I'll see if I have another???
I'm going to guess the guy's teeth. They seem a bit too white.
no sticks
Except for those ones in the top left corner
But those could be cloned out easily
But still, this one loses the nice DOF that the first one had. The colors are better, but I really liked the DOF in the first one.

I'm gonna be in Tampa until next Tuesday. PM coming your way.
No. Bad. Sand good. Keep sand!
It has a great texture, but there's plenty of it on the left side.

Anable, the sand is great, and I actually like that you can only see a hint of her face. Leaves us wanting more!
