Wiis & SD Card Help

Does anyone know of a way (short of buying an SD card reader, of which I've tried about three and none work for Mac) that I can transfer data to my Wii's SD card off my computer? Primary example: game saves. I really don't feel like getting 1,000,000 points in Raving Rabbids for completion's sake just so I can move on to the next one.

Thanks in advance.

Well, you'll need SOME way of getting files from the SD card to the computer, so some kind of hardware is involved. I've used my digital camera a couple of times - plugging the camera into the computer makes it act like any other USB drive, so I can put data on the card, stick the card into the camera, then take the data from the camera like I would a picture.

Then you're buying the wrong card readers, or are wrong yourself. Every card reader I've used just shows up on my mac as a removable drive when I plug it in. Works like a charm.

I just popped my Wii SD card into my Mac via a Transcend multi-format card reader and it worked fine.

Hmm...maybe I was doing it wrong then. I'll give it another go.

I'm impressed you managed to find 3 separate USB card readers that didn't work with Macs. I bought some $10 cheap thing off Newegg without thinking and it has served me well these past 3 years.

Mine was a Sabrent (which they don't sell anymore) but it looked a lot like this:

It says there is Mac support on that page. I'm not surprised, even the ones that don't list it usually do.

Well, the ones I bought I all got from RadioShack. And when I would insert the card into them, there'd be no click noise like there usually is when you plug an SD card into something. And, my computer just wouldn't read the drive.

Mine doesn't click. Not in any of the slots. There is a light that comes on though.

Never ever ever buy anything from Radioshack.

Also, click noise? You mean like the one the spring mechanism in a digicam or Wii will make? Most card readers don't have those.

I didn't know most card readers don't click. That might explain a lot.

And ditto about the RadioShack thing. I only got them there due to convenience because I work there.

Okay, finally got a working SD card reader...and now the actual game saves that I download and move onto said SD card refuse to cooperate. I'm pretty sure I'm just retarded and am making a simple mistake, but does anyone know a simple process for doing this? Is there a specific folder I need to put the files in, do I have to make one, etc.?

Specific folder, yes. I forget the exact formatting for the last folder name, though.

My suggestion? Copy the save you want to replace to the SD card. It'll be in private->Wii->[four-letter-combo], if memory serves. Just overwrite with the new save, pop it back in the wii, and you're golden. A lot easier than finding the code and doing it manually.
