The disparity in the usefulness of Final Smashes between characters is pretty crazy. I had a similar experience playing as Snake with my friends, where I would often get it and then wreak havoc while my friends would lament how comparatively useless the final smashes of their Zelda or Meta Knight were.
I don't know if they balanced characters around Final Smashes, but not all of them were created equally. Some are instant, inescapable death, and others are just silly in how hard they are to use well.
Zelda's is pretty damn good. It doesn't take much damage at all for it to basically be a better version of Marth's. Metaknight's sucks, though, and so does Zero Suit Samus'. I've only seen one person who's done anything at all with Donkey Kong's, but his seems pretty terrible.
I did play a bunch of Donkey Kong against you, it's difficult to do his final smash online because it's all about pressing A in rhythm, and getting used to doing it offline means being unable to do it online, but being able to do it online means you can't do it offline. I'd say once in every 2-3 times I do it I can actually get it to go into near-fullscreen radius mode.
I love Wolf a whole lot. Heavy, decently fast, huge range on the forward smash, annoying blaster, killer up smash and down air. And I was surprised at how much better they made Donkey Kong. He's a whole lot faster. I hear people talking a lot about Toon Link and I love characters that can pester so I'll try to get good with him next.
By the way, does Luigi have any redeeming qualities at all?

Luigi is a combo beast. His air priority is extremely high, tilts are amazing, down and forward smashes are really good, decent throws, good projectile, decent recovery.
Plus jab+fire jump punch is an insta kill over 30-40% for most characters. He can rocket uppercut you into the stratosphere. What's there not to like about him?
Cruel Brawl is utter ridiculousness. I'm all for challenge and whathaveyou, but for pete's sake you get punched once and you go flying off the stage within at least 10 seconds.

Sigh.
Get a character with multiple jumps and fly under the stage ledge-to-ledge. The alloys will jump down in an attempt to edgeguard you, but will fail and one of the alloys will edgehog the rest.

This is what I did with Pit. Drop off and to the right, jump to the right once (to get the guys to jump off after you), then jump back and up-b over to the other ledge.

I used Fox. You use that multi-shine thing to stay in the air (great for surviving 15 minutes thing too) and then, once they're all grouped on the ledge, you grab it and drop down. They'll all chase you down where you use the repeated shine to shine them dead since they don't use up+B they can't make it back after one shine. The multi-shine floating trick is effective for a lot of the multi-man brawl things.

Anybody still feel up for a round or two? I'm bored silly.
Gah, 2 out of three olimar deaths cheap where the AI didn't latch on correctly. Oh well.

Good games all around. Fun stuff. I really feel like my Lucario is slowly but surely getting better which is a fucking relief. I was feeling good about that last round until I realized I got 0 KOs.

I actually had a wittle bit of lag. That first one on one where I was Diddy and you were Olimar? That horrible suicide I committed? The lag was fucking with me.
I got accustomed to it after that though. It was definitely playable and I didn't even notice it after that fight.
As long as I can break Cas's 5+ game streak, I'm happy Good games, everyone. Good night.
A 5+ streak? I don't remember that.
In any case, great games guys. And I'm not sure who that was playing Ice Climbers, but they were without a doubt the best IC player I've seen in Brawl (although that's not saying too much - I haven't seen many).

I exaggerate. You joined the game, then you won your first 3 or 4 rounds. Then would lose win lose win type of deal.
Either way you were clearly the best player there, and I always try to gang up on the best first. I kept running past/jumping over tara
In other news, I really got to stop self deathing myself.
Nice matches JMAWP, that was my brother who joined in.
You too. Your Yoshi is ridiculous. That little ducking-stance you have is evil, and almost inapproachable with Mario....damn his nerfedness.
BTW, that 2nd or 3rd match with just you and me, I was purposefully shooting Mario's final smash away from you. I wanted the winner to be determined by the awesome ground battle we were having there on the Bridge.
....then you killed during my weak point at the end of the FS. I'll have to figure a way to make it more clear when I try to take FSs out of the match once I've gotten a kill or two with it already.
I'm a bit confused as to how the sticker effects work in SSE. Until now, I'd been applying as many stickers as I could to a character, thinking the effects simply stacked. But then one of my friends told me that the most powerful sticker of each type simply cancels out the weaker ones. Is this true? Can someone quickly explain to me how they work?
Alternately, can someone direct me to the place in the Dojo website where they talk about it? Because I looked around but I can't find the entry, and I REMEMBER them talking about it.

Stat increases don't stack. Only the highest number will apply. Say you have a +10 to [arm] sticker and a +6 to [arm] and [leg] sticker you would end up with +10 to arm attacks and + 6 to leg attacks.
Registered a TON of folks last night, so go ahead and add me and toss me a PM guys. I played a few random matches last night (Which worked!) and had a few decent ones, then a lagtastic one. Not too bad.

Yeah, that was pretty fun, even if I didn't win a whole lot.
Have I mentioned that this is the best game ever? 'Cuz it is. This is the only multiplayer centric game I'll play regularly.

Because we've had a new Earthbound game since SSB 64 came out?

I am going to rape your asshole dry. And no.
And just so you know, 100% completion of SSE nets you jack shit.
That's what pissed me off about this event:

1) Pokemon Trainer was in play
2) Toon Link's Pirate Ship was the stage.
Otherwise 'twas as smooth an experience as I've had.

I'm with you on this one, man. I cause my own death waaaaaay too often.
Oh, and I almost forgot, whoever was playing that Olimar in the three-way match on the Fire Emblem stage was fantastic.
