Of course, I don't think any of us had except for SPI, which might tell you something.

Regardless, flamoyantly gay cowboys fighting horrific zombies is always a better idea than realistic cowboys doing the same.

It puts you in mind of the cowboys having some laid-back party before they realised the wild west had been invaded by the undead, and they had no time to change before they had to take charge and kick ass.

Man what kind party with gay cowboys laying on their backs are you talking about?

If for no other reason than the total subversion of the expected cowboy archetype, I too... support the flamboyant shirts.

so, I know there has been some debate over the sight rails on the double barrel shotgun, but have any of you considered just, removing them. most double barrel shottys like that don't really have any IIRC.

Also, I love you guys. I read the thread every month or so and always have a laugh. Keep fighting the fight and all that.

It's true that most (if not all) double barrels have either no sight rail or a single sight rail, but I wanted two because I thought it looked mean. Nobody else agreed so I took one off. Problem fixed.

I agree with you though, that 2 looks better than one. However you know my opinion. :D

On another note, I have many a time considered joining this project, but I have never had a big enough window between my own projects to just jump in. I'm sure there is a post somewhere about it, but what work do you currently need done?

There's no such post. Basically our goal right now is to get a version released that looks vaguely okay and can be played through the whole way, and is fun. Most of that is actually done, the problems right now being
-i need to optimise the map more without having enormous sections delete themselves when the player is looking at them
-i need to fix the lighting
-in association with slapdash we need to have some way of letting noobs know what exactly they need to be doing while they're playing so they don't get bored and walk away
-i need to fix some bugs in the map that subvert the goals a bit, no biggie
-i need remington to model a repeatable tall fence that players can't get over
-we need all the VA done, i'm looking at you Captain K
-i need to finish a couple sections of the map
-ideally we want that scoreboard idea implemented

and that's all i can think of just now.
so how you can help really depends on what it is that you do, and are offering to do, which i don't think you mentioned. :P we can always fit whatever anyone wants to make in there somewhere.

He sent me a couple of fences apparently without their textures, but neither are exactly what I need, I suppose I should have been more specific. I am after an at least 128-unit high fence of some kind that I can attach to itself end-to-end, so not with zombie heads on pikes and not just a spiral of barbed wire.

I told him to take the heads out and make one that was more generic.

I've got to do some character models for school pretty soon, I'm not super great at it but I'll take a crack at making a cowboy if you guys want me to. Actually, I have to make everything for school (props, environments etc..) This would be a great way to kill 2 birds with one stone. Let me know if anything needs modeled.

    Whups, I forgot about ya'll.
I don't have time to get anything together now though. Any chance of you knockin' up some rad music anyway? I'll get to you soon though.

Anyway, apparently I can't take screenshots when the game is windowed without the colours coming out all weird. The colours are all fucked up, for instance, on these screenshots, but i'm posting them anyway.
