I hurt my wrist and can't use my dominant (right) hand without the feeling of hot coals inside my skin. Too much wow I guess.
I need some low-key games that can be played with just one hand. I know Earthbound can be played left-handed, but that's really the only one I know of.
I have a NES, SNES, DS, Wii, PS2, a good PC, and a 360 available. Help me waste time while injured
But in all honesty, I agree that any turn-based gameplay would be most suited to playing one handed. Almost any other genre will require a bit more trickery to play.
Left-handed Etrian Odyssey seems to work fine, provided that you can put the DS down on top of something. Mapping is a lot less awkward than I would have thought. So, you should look into that and into other DS/GBA games with classic JRPG combat. The most recent Pokemon ought to be especially good for someone in your predicament.
Dwarf Fortress, you can pause at any time, to mangage your fort. Though you will most likely die often, because of the steep learning curve, but It's also free.
Edit: Milque, every time I see your sig I start to crack up.
There should be plenty of DS games you can play with one hand. Any game that uses touch screen controls should work nicely. The Phoenix Wright games, Elite Beat Agents, and probably LoZ Phantom Hourglass. I haven't actually played PH yet so someone else can confirm that one, but iirc you can use the stylus for everything. You can look into the new Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and Professor Layton as well.

There's an option in the Pokémon games that makes L function as A allowing you to play with one hand. Other than that, any Wii games that are remote only.
IIRC The Witcher is playable with just the mouse. You just need to set it to the overhead view instead of the 3rd person perspective. Isometric overhead view is better for traveling large distances and stuff I tend to find.
But my unfathomable love towards Witcher really came as a result of the single hand control it gives to the gamer. So one hand on the mouse, the other hand on the ……um Pringles bowl, and I’m off…
I know I will probably be branded a heretic around here but popcap games? /ducks
As for the "hardcore" pc games The Witcher has a mouse only config (point and click to move etc..) that you can pick when you start a new game (you can also play 2 handed with a Over the shoulder view). Other than the olol bewbies bit its a really good solid RPG. I kind of like the clicky combat too. Sort of reminds me of Diablo meets a rhythm game.
edit: I guess I should of read the 2nd page in the thread.
Most RTS, like Starcraft or WC3, only need one hand for the mouse to play. You probably won't be able to beat anyone online, but single player and random DOTA or whatever can be played no problem with just a mouse and clicking for the spells / commands.

It's always fun stunning or knocking enemies over, and then using a finisher on them. All of the swordplay was mo-capped off of professionals before being embellished by the animation department.
Didnt know pokemon had one-handed control option. I have Diamond, I never finished playing the story. I wonder if it's too much to start where I lkeft off or if I should start over?
I have Advantage controllers for the NES and SNES, so I could get some feets action going. Or left hand on the stick and toes on the buttons. I could probably play something easy like Zelda or ALTTP that way.
Suikoden 1, 2 and 5 can be played completely with one hand, as they have the accept and cancel buttons also mapped to the left shoulder buttons on the PS controller(and select brings up the menu). I can't recall if Suikoden 3 and 4 also had this, but they might.

I was going to mention these too. I'm fairly certain 3 and 4 are single handed controls, but its been some time since I've played them. Suikoden 5 is probably the easiest to get your hands on and cheap to boot.
Endless Ocean for the Wii can be played one handed. The entire game is played with the pointer. It's also really soothing, if you want something a bit more low key.

Turn based, so I can avoid using my broken wrist arm by doing it a bit slowly.
Anything turn based is good for your situation.
Assigning groups might be the only thing that would require you to take your hand off the mouse

Most anything by PopCap in any case.
SRPGs work, Heroes of Might and Magic III
I doubt computer gaming would be easy at all.
I'll give Civ a shot, it should be simpler, especially if I turn on the automated helpers.
Even then, toes are useful for more than walking.

You'll still die, of course, but still.
No, don't ask me how it was possible, going back to it confuses even me.
N - The Way of the Ninja
Which also brings up the 'arcade stick + feets' option.

I actually play that two handed.
But seriously, I think the only game I play one handed is audiosurf.
EDIT: Yeah, it is, as attested by some random blog dude
EDIT EDIT: Also
Ben Heckendorn has a hardware hack or two
