So, I am currently working in the US for a short time. I use Steam at home in the UK, and have purchased and downloaded games with no problems.
I tried to download Arma Assault from Steam today (while in the US), and I was not permitted to (because I am a UK steam user, and it's not available in the UK steam store presumably?)
My steam store is currently defaulted to the US store (game prices are in $$, not £). I guess it's working from my IP address or something. Is there any way I can make steam load the UK store from over here, so I can buy a game or two to keep me occupied while I'm overseas?

Contact steam support. Inform them that you are overseas for a short term stay. They should open your account.
Thanks for the reply, but no dice on paypal. This was the first thing I tried, and steam won't accept payments for things that are not from the UK store, regardless of the method of payment. Sucks be to that!

You can also just use PayPal.
