Ran across this, thought it was pretty good. Did a forum search, didn't see that anyone else had found it yet. I never thought about how crazy some of those game concepts were though. Good times.

    Man, the industry sure has changed. Maybe we should go back to the old ways. We'd make less money, but at least there would be less sequels.

    it had it's moments.

    definitely not the worst video game sketch I've seen. =D


    Fruit is so key to all these old games.

    Yea. That did kind of kill it for me. It would have taken them 15 minutes to go to the lobby of an office building nearby and shoot that one scene. It was still funny enough overall that it's good.

    I don't know, I thought the last scene was brilliant.

    Especially with the sad Mario Chords playing in the background.

    Actually, I'm almost certain it was filmed at SDSU's Business building. Then again, they're a group formed by UCSD paper editors, so it could be at UCSD.

    I haven't watched the video yet, because I'm at work.

    But about the fruit. You know, I never even thought about that. So many of these older games had you collecting fruit and or vegetables. Heh, even Bubble Bobble had cake. Weird.

    Could've turned that thought into a Seinfeld episode.

    That video was pure genius, and the performances were spot-on. I need a feature-length version, NOW!

    Scratch that, make it into a TV series. Call it "Fruits 'n Blow".

    Yeah, this was actually pretty funny. I expected a lot of shitty jokes. But they sold it well.
