Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Wii)
PES 2008 has been redesigned to make incredible use of the motion-sensitive nature of the Wii's control system. Crucial to PES 2008 for Wii is an all-new control system that truly elevates the level of control available to the player while retaining the depth and intuitive moves of the series. Making use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, the player must also consider the movements of their teammates around them. The Nunchuck is used to move the current player, while the Wii Remote is used to pick out players to send them on runs or to receive passes via simple click and drag system which uses arrows to show the path of the run, and a press of the 'B' button to complete the move.

As always, we've got another random week of the year, and yet a bunch of great games being released!

I'm definitely getting Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, but I'm hoping Sega Superstars Tennis turns out to be a glorified Wii Sports Tennis.

Otherwise, a lot of people should be looking forward to RB6 Vegas 2, Condemned, Hot Shots Golf, Metal Gear Solid Collection, and the Wii version of Pro Evo Soccer 08. Worms on Wii is looking good too if you're a Worms fan.

Some people around here seem to be interested in Lost in Blue, but I know little to nothing about these games.

Overall, looks like a good week for owners of any system.. except the PSP, which lacks a release this week, from what I can tell (not even Superstars Tennis).

WHAT ARE YOU GETTING THIS WEEK, AND WHY? :P

I played the demo for Ninja Gaiden DS, and it seems like a pretty awesome action game. I never did manage to finish Sigma. Any word on whether or not NGDS will spoil anything from Sigma's ending?

All in all, not a bad week. R6 Vegas made for a fun rental. If the co-op is any good, Vegas 2 might be a buy instead. Another Lost in Blue? Man, the 1st one was broken, and I heard the 2nd wasn't really any better. It has potential. Maybe they finally fixed it.

If you have the vanilla version of Snake Eater, than the MGS3 disc in the collection will be an upgrade for you.

Hey so Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Should I actually be kinda excited? I liked Gears, but I only halfheartedly tried out the demo for R6V. It seemed like a lot of people liked it though.

I rented it (first one) and hated it.
It's a FPS, not a TPS like Gears so be aware.
I disliked the first one because it seemed very stiff and way too easy to die.
But I hear it's a great tactical shooter, if that's what your into.

I'll grab the MGS collection for me, Lost in Blue 3 for my sister who is hooked on them.

I'm unsure about Sega Tennis and Ninja Gaiden, I'll wait to see what you guys think before I pick them up. Sega puts out good tennis titles usually though, but I got burned on Spiderman 3.

God I only beat like three levels in the first R6V. I got stuck in this one part where enemies are all over the fucking place and no matter how tactically I approach they overwhelm.

This week I will be getting down with Vegas 2 (360) and I will show ninja gaiden some love. I suck horribly at ninja gaiden, I had the original and black on the xbox but I could never get past the second level. That first level sure is fun though. Vegas had a decent story in part one, nothing earth shattering but since they added some call of duty 4 elements it seems like it might be a bit more actioney, and that is a good thing. Condemned would be a purchase but I have yet to take the plastic off of part 1. Not to derail here but I get a ton of agames all the time and sometimes I just take the plastic off to put it on the shelf. I have stopped doing this because I have began to trim down my collection so I figure I will keep it wrapped until I am certain it is going to be played through just in case I decide to sell it. Anyone else do this/have this issue?

There are quite a few people here with that problem.

Me? I buy games I want as soon as I can; but I manage to play through every new game I own at least once.

If anyone's played Lost in Blue 3, any opinions on it? I love the idea of the games, but the first two had some serious weaknesses, and the second wasn't much of an improvement on the first. I know there's a great adventure game in them trying to escape, if only they could find a way to make the cooking, furniture making, spice collecting, etc. interesting and not tedious and pointless.

Reviews I've seen so far of Sega Superstar Tennis give it a resounding "meh", but any Sega tennis game with the possibility of Ulala is certainly worth a look from me. Hopefully they put a demo on the Marketplace.

It was switched from the 22 to the 25th. Even Gamestop.com had the 22d listed until the 22d.

That said, I'll have to be adding it to the next version of this thread, which I'll be doing.. soonish.

It's actually hitting Xbox Originals next week, but I figure this the best place to ask.

    Dreamfall: The Longest Journey

Is the game and its story any good if I haven't played the original TLJ?
