I think that with a good group we can do level 3. We definately got more points for just finishing it than we were for the level two matches, even if we took down the orb.
Also, on that Frost Mountain map, you don't have to make your way through the Hallway of Death.â„¢ You can just jump up and down on one of the towers and shoot the orb down that way. Still need some healers for it.
So after I installed its every time I try to play a different game it switches to a smaller resolution, when I try to change the resolution it crashes. Anyone know a way to fix this?
I cannot get my PlayNC account to work. I have tried resetting the password a couple times now and each time either it wont let me log in once I switch it after the reset or (what its doing now) I can't log in with the temp one they send me. I wonder whats going on.
I have laid off this game for the last couple of days because of tech issues, and after a bit of digging I see GameGuard is causing the vast majority of them. The game is fun, certainly, but the combination of hitting the higher level bracket (and getting raped in every match) and the crashing/freezing/random-rebooting from GG is driving me out. Blargh.

See, I thought that at first too. O_o But I seem to strangely be holding my own in nothing but a Pinkett and Tommy Guns (Starting Equipment). Make sure to use cover, including those meatshields we call team mates, and boost around efficiently.
I seem to do fairly well with a pair of beam spitters and the starting planet eagles. I tried a siege weapon, but found I completely suck at long range engagements - My mech is geared for speed, and lugging around a huge weapon nullifies one of my only advantages.
Logicat and Mechmantis have that cannon thing down, though. Make sure they have a line of fire, and watch the fireworks.

You mean "Gigantronox has that cannon thing down, those other guys are poseurs."
i really want to try out the cannons but my character is entirely invested into speed and making the rapes at close range, i'm thinking a cannon would kind of fuck that up
i may have to make another character or something so i can make a big ol' cannon bitch

Speed can work well with cannons, have a melee set in your secondary slot, and use it to fly around really fast to get into position to shoot people.

That's what I do, and I've also invested in speed. The extra boost also really helps to A. Get out from fire when they do catch you off guard. B. kick ass in melee when you've seen them coming. and C. Chase down and destroy the cunts who try to run, if the cannon's not viable at that moment.

I have a really fast mech. I only pull out my cannon when I know I'll be able to fire a few times.
Otherwise, I boost around with dual SMGs. The cannon/SMG combo works surprisingly well, because I can get to high ground really easily, and at least damage people who sneak up behind me.
It also allows me to set up my cannon behind enemy "lines". Which leads to great fun.
It sounds like the bonus starts at 600 for the people in the top 70% and goes up to a couple k. If you're doing it for the money then no it probably doesn't make up.
I can make a 1000 and up in a short deathmatch. If that is the only bonus given and to only to % players then I won't be grinding LS's. I went and bought a big ass cannon too. I like it though so it stays.
Winning in DM is easy. Just get two (sets of) SMGs and go to town. I was kinda hoping LS would be better because it would actually reward enough cash to not just be a time = money bullshit thing. Oh well.
Wow, I want to like this game, but the lag I'm getting is TERRIBLE. The game is constantly repositioning game where it thinks I should be due lag, the controls are unresponsive, and everybody is warping about everywhere. I've played Gunz before and it never was as bad as this was. I'll give it a shot later, to see if it was just the people, but that was absolutely nuts. :x
The big thing that pisses in my cheerios is the fact that lag affects key input. Sure you can move around, but when it comes to actually firing your gun, things become less than responsive, which means I'm hammering away at my mouse to fire and the mech thinks it's on a smoke break while sitting in front of an enemy, who is warping around.
It's basically the same reason why I can't through Tutorial 5, minus the enemy warping around bit.
I was under the impression that lag didn't effect you in training mode or the tutorials. It seems like it should be something else that is causing you to warp like that.
Yeah the lag is usually ok with me. I'm usually around 100-150 ping and I'm in the UK. And by the way, updating my drivers didn't help with the Display Driver errors that caused the game to crash. Any suggestions to help me fix this?

Haha, I just bought a skill to use with my booster. Guess you can't equip more than one skill if they're the same level or something?
Ugh.
edit: had to italicize my ugh to appropriately express the level of "ugh" this is after grinding for 25000 credits and getting to sell the temporary skill back for 7500

You haven't done a level 5 last stand have you?

Also yay for extra mech space!
I have enough "parts" for two mechs but I seem to only have one slot.

Otherwise yeah, not too bad.
I like rifles though.

On another note, I finally got Staff Sergeant.
occasionally i'll see someone warping around but normally not much
I just thought you were a dick.
You dick.

Your head determines how many skills you can use at a time. It's some stupid acronym stat, which will be 1 with your basic head.
Well, I didn't sell it yet, but gotta get to the "grind" again for a better helmet.
But why give you four slots if you can't use them?
