Thanks a lot for playin' with me, Frost. Those were some great matches. You're easily one of the best people I have played from PA. I don't know if you had any, but the lag for me was very very small and hardly even existant at times. Sorry about your luck in a few of those matches, hope my stage picks were alright with you, heh.
I'm pretty fine with any of the flatter stages. But I'm really starting to hate the Mario Circuit. The racers come by way too often, and it breaks up the matches way too long.
-Lag was good except for that last match...
EDIT: Oh ... sorry ... I like jumping off of people's head. I didn't mean to upset you any, heh. No hard feelings, if it makes you feel any better I submit it's very likely your ZSS is much better than my Link.
I can live with that because it was basically my own fault. It was more the 20% death at the beginning of the match, and the couple of lag spikes that messed up my shielding.
I'm tempted to hammer the 15-minute Multi-Man challenge. Haven't tried it yet, but 15 minutes is a long time to wait just to get screwed at the last second.
I've been thinking about trying that tonight. Anyone think that picking Kirby and just dodging the first two (and easiest) alloys would work?
To think there's a trophy for beating 15-minute challenge with every character. Yup, that one's getting hammered.
What exactly does the bar signify in My Music. If I have three songs, two maxed and one half-way, what the chance of each playing?
I'm not sure on the math, but the two maxed out ones have the equally greatest chance to be played, while the third would play less often. Something like this:
Haha, yeah - Mario Circuit was a 'random' selection, I don't have a problem with it when I am playing 4 player with friends, but it definetly seems less viable as a 1v1 stage, not only that, but the walk-off format means that it's likely someone will lose a stock on a "we were right next to the edge and someone threw you at the offscreen portion and you died at 40%" haha.
Yeah, I don't know why it started getting laggy right there, oh well. I learned I need to practice some more on my Mario/Old Manondorf.

What the fuck?
Beating 15 minute Multi-Man with every character would take nearly NINE HOURS if you did it on the first try. However, looking at the Wiki, I do not see a challenge for such. I'm saving a hammer...just in case.
Still, the "beat X with every character" challenges are ridiculous time sinks.

In the challenges section they refer to completing this mode as: "enduring a fifteen minute brawl." It's best to keep a distance as long as you can, when you have at most two of the weaker chromes on screen and the computer isn't re-spawning more.

Wait, you're right. It's beat 100-man brawl with every character.
So I just played on the Windwaker boat stage for the first time yesterday to unlock Toon Link and haven't figured out the nuances of the stage yet. What's the deal with the catapult or whatever that flings you way the hell out left even at low percentages? What triggers it to launch someone? It was lame as hell because I was winning the first fight when the catapult just shot me far straight left and I couldn't recover. I can't see liking the stage much with that random catapult bullshit, so can anyone explain in more detail how it works?

I think it is just random. I agree Pirate Ship would be so much better without the stupid catapult, but I think it is a pretty cool level (and playable).
It pops out of the deck of the ship at the left end, I find it's best to just stay away from it if you don't want to get launched, standing in front (towards the bow) will get you launched kind of far, but standing on TOP of it will throw you SO far it's ridiculous.
but standing on TOP of it will throw you SO far it's ridiculous.
That must be what happened to me then. Marth at 20%, Toon Link close to 100%. CATAPULT! + Bad Horizontal Recovery = string of profanities and attempt #2.
The stage is pretty small already, though. Staying away from it cuts off about 1/3 of the floor real estate, making the stage the tiniest thing ever. Blah. It's going to be really cramped in 4 player brawls...
Just saw the absolute greatest spectator match. Shadow Moses. Snake.
Snake starts off the match getting his codec conversation. Otacon starts off on his spiel about Diddy. Snake walks off the side of the screen. "Snake, what's going on? Snake!? Snaaaaaaake!"
Snake respawns, proceeds to walk off the screen. Otacon wonders where Snake is for the next minute.
And, the best part, on about Snake's fourth suicide, all three other players started following him to his death. A solid thirty seconds of continuous blasts coming from the right side. The match ends with a sudden death between Ness and Diddy with scores of -8.
Snake players are always the most hilarious in spectator matches. I had one where the guy I bet good coins on tried to hide in his box for the entire round. On Final Destination. It didn't quite work out, but it was pretty funny.
There are pages of people who have done it if you check on Youtube, are they all liars? Are they? You can't hammer it. Just takes practice. I am lookin' to do it co-op with my roomie.
Anyone who says they've beaten Boss Battles on Intense is a god-damned liar
I think this one is going to get hammered
I managed it with the Ice Climbers, but only just.
Oh God, the Ice Climbers
Why didn't I think of that
I've been trying it with Donkey Kong, his down-B wrecks the guys who actually touch the ground
I can actually completely avoid getting hit by the hands, the jumping robot whose name I forget, and Petey (and sometimes Ridley), but Duon ruins my shit every time and Porky is just an asshole

Which is still a pretty damn tall order.
Yeah... I completed a challenge next to that one and damn near cried when I looked around.

I managed to get into a position where I was hanging onto the ledge behind Duon. He was attacking the opposite direction and I took almost no damage while I dual-hammered him into itty bitty pieces.
Porky I just rolled right underneath and kept hammering up on the c-stick.
Just played a couple "with anyone" team matches, and they were some of the smoothest matches I've had so far. Absolutely no lag.
Just saw AJalkaline and Frosteey online, but I had to get going. I'll be back on later tonight, see you folks tonight.
EDIT: Also, what's the deal with friend code registration? I've added a couple of my friends and they've added me but we're all still seeing the "Awaiting Registration" on each others' status. Granted we haven't been online at the same time yet, so is that the case here?
I've still got some PA people Awaiting Registration as well.

Yeah, you both have to be online at the same time to pass registration.
Man guys I am just about to the point where I have the free time to play this, which is good because of that tournament and all. I've got to get more practicing in! I am pretty much completely new to team battles.

So, I'm really think of using peach a lot more now, any opinions on her?
Nerfed from melee, but still good.
I dunno how good she is now, but just know that they changed her A LOT. She used to be my main, and now I suck with her. Her second jump is awful, they nerfed a few of her finishing moves, they made side B actually good, and turnips are pretty terrible now.
Peach is definitely pretty changed from Melee, but I still adore her.
Biggest nerf: Her "SWEET" taunt is nowhere near as obnoxious, and therefore awesome, as before.
Biggest buff: Her "LA LALA LALA LAAA" taunt may just be even more obnoxious, and therefore awesome, than the original "SWEET" taunt.
